Jayden is at work right now so I decide to pay my mom a visit. I knock on the front door of her house... no one answers, i knock again a few seconds later and still no one answers, luckily I know where the hidden key is, I dig through a flower pot on the porch and find the key. I unlock the front door and walk in, it looks like no ones been here for days, just then my phone rings and it's Jayden, I answer.
"Hey, have you any idea where my mom is?"
"Uh ya that's why I called you she is in the hospital, and i think you better come"
"shes in the hospital? ok i'm coming"
I get in the car frustrated, a few minutes later i'm walking into the hospital, I walk to the front desk and say "hi can you tell me what room Maria Green is in?"
The lady at the front desk reply's "Miss Green is in room 408, and may i ask who you are to her"
"I'm her daughter"
"oh i'm sorry" she says, a saddening look on her face
"ok, thanks" I walk up the stairs to room 408 and knock twice, Jayden answers the door with a sad expression. I walk in a see my mom on the hospital bed, she looks pale white and so sick. I walk over to her, she opens her eyes "Ava dear how are you?" my mother says barely breathing. "I'm fine mom but how are you, what's wrong?" She points to Jayden and says "explain" I look over at Jayden and he says with a sad expression on his face "your mom has pneumonia and this is her last day, she's barely holding on." with a saddened expression on my face I look back at my mom who's looking down at her hands, she looks at me with tears in her eyes and says "Ava, you know I love you and I always will dear" then she looks at Jayden who is now standing by my side holding my hand and speaks to Jayden with a pained tone in her voice "Jayden please take care of my daughter and never let her get hurt" Jayden has tears falling down his face as he says " I will always care for her and protect her no matter what" my mom looks back at me and says "take care of yourself when you need to darling" she weakly smiles, tears rolling down her face as she takes her last shallow breath. I burst out crying covering my face with my small fragile hands. Jayden squats down in front of me and takes my shaking hands away from my face- wrapping mine in his warming them "I'm so sorry, there was nothing we could of done" "I know i'm not mad, I knew she would leave me at some point in my life" I pause for a second and continue "It happens" I take my hands away from Jaydens and wipe my dripping tears away and smile weakly.
