My dad Vincent Green comes up and says "are you ready?" "always" I reply as I loop my arm around his. The music starts and I know it's my cue, the doors open and my father and I walk down the aisle. I look up and see Jayden -looking devilishly handsome- waiting for me at the end of the aisle . When we reach Jayden my father turns to me "you can do this, I wish your mother were here with us in person right now, but she will always be with us in our hearts wherever we go, and she would be so proud of you Ava, you've grown into such a strong beautiful woman never forget that now go and be happy, I love you so very much." he says with a big smile and gives my hand to Jayden. Jayden and I hold hands as the priest says "We are gathered he today to celebrate the union of Ava Green and Jayden Black." he inhales and exhales then continues " do you have vows prepared for each other?" he questions "yes we do" Jayden says and I realize I go first, I speak up and say
"As I stand here before you, looking into your eyes, I see all of the things I fell in love with
As I stand here before you, my heart beating so strongly, I find myself so lost for the right words to say
As I stand here before you, this ring in my hand, it makes me remember how complete you make my life, it makes me remember every laugh we've ever shared, every hard time we made it through together, and every beautiful moment there is to come
I give you this ring, my heart, and my soul, I give you everything I am today as I stand before you, I promise to love you, protect you, be with you forever, and cherish every moment
With this ring, let it be known I chose you, let it be known that this ring, I promise to be with you for all eternity, 'till death do us part." as tears are slowly streaming down my face.
Jayden says his vows next
"What can I say that I haven't already said? What can I provide you that I haven't already given? My body, my mind, my soul and my heart. They're all yours. Everything that I have. Everything that I am, belongs to you long before this day. And I promise that I shall be yours forever. I will follow you anywhere you go, everywhere you lead me to. Hand in hand. Heart in heart.I will love you even after death." he says meaning every syllable, every word, and every letter.
The priest says ""Do you Jayden take Ava as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"
"I do" Jaydens speaks
"And do you Ava take Jayden as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"
I inhale as I say meaning every word that comes out of my mouth
"I do" I exhale
" I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride" The priest says making sure everyone hears.
Jayden grins, pulls me in close and kisses me like the rest of the world didn't matter right then, I kiss him back, we break away to see everyone standing, clapping, and whistling. Jayden and I look at each other with such joy on our faces.
