Todd's pov
As we travel far from the town, I think of all the good and lad things Viola and I have been through. No matter how many times we were hurt -I was an asshat- we have stuck together. And I love her for that.
I love her. I may be young, but I know this isn't something I've felt before. Well...now that I think about it, she was the first girl I had seen. But she by far is the prettiest. I look over at her and see her leaning against her bag asleep.
No wonder she didn't slap you for all your noise I scold myself
As night comes around we set up camp. Lee and I build a fire and lay the blankets down while Viola and Wilf cook.
"Hold on to her, Todd. She sure is a good catch. Don't let her go. No matter what," Lee says patting me on the back before walking over to his blanket.
I smile and continue fixing my blanket, before Viola comes up to me and helps me.
"We're made potatoes and carrots with chicken bits for dinner," she says as we finish my makeshift bed, "if you want some."
"Of course," I say and get up.
We eat peacefully with a few funny stories here and there before Viola and Lee left to go to sleep.
"She really cares about you, you know," Wilf says getting up
"Huh," I ask
"Viola. She really cares," he states
"I-I know. I care about her too," I reply picking my nails.
He smiled at me and nodded.
"Alright than boy. I'll see you in the morning," while walking off
I dim the fire and turn towards my blanket. Sitting down I pull the second half of the planet up to cover me.
Turning to look at viola I try to fall asleep while my noise goes crazy shouting things about her features.
As I drift off my noise gets quieter. Until it's almost inaudible. Then I fall into a soundless slumber
A few hours later I wake up freezing. I look over and see viola shaking while curled into a ball.
Viola. Cold. Viola.
"Viola," I whisper, "viola?"
I crawl over to her and tap on her shoulder She opens her eyes and looks at me while shivering.
"Bring your blanket, and come with me," I say
She nods grabbing her blanket.
I flatten my blanket out some more and lay down before patting the spot next to me.
She blushes and my voice goes crazy
Cold cold viola cold beautiful cold viola sleep tired cold viola cold tired
"It's cold and this way we will stay warm," I say blushing
She lays down and we lay her blanket on us. She scoots closer to me causing me to smile. Before she turns around and snuggles into my chest, burying her head under my chin.
I smile before wrapping my arm around her and falling asleep
