Some of you might know @Total_Trash_Mammal_and her account, and we can all say she is one of the best writers out there. One of my own favs to be honest. Anyways, back when we knew her as Josie, not Mae, she wrote this story. This was 2 years ago, and it shows that she went from fantastic to phenomenal.

Prologue A dark red she-cat was hunched in a field. Her nose twitched, and she crouched down even more. A mouse ventured into the field, looking around, searching for any kind of danger. It froze as cat scent hit its nose. But it was too late. The she-cat pounced, sinking her claws into its neck. Purring with satisfaction, she held it in her mouth, her jaws watering at its musky, warm scent. "Great catch." A black she-cat emerged from the grass. Although she looked pleased, the other dark red she-cat noticed she looked troubled. "What's wrong?" She demanded. The black she-cat did not answer at once. Instead, she meowed, "Go and wait by the fallen tree. There's a few other cats who will need to be there." Puzzled, the dark red she-cat padded to the tree, and paced there, thinking about the worried look on Shadowclaw's face. She looked up as pawsteps sounded. "Shadowclaw!" The dark red she-cat exclaimed. "What is this about?" Shadowclaw exchanged a glance with Doveflower, who the dark red she-cat knew who to be Coralclaw's mother, a queen in WaterClan. She frowned. "Does this have something to do with Coralclaw?" She gasped. "She's not going to die when she has her kits, is she?!" "No, no!" Doveflower mewed hurriedly. "But- it does have something to do with her kits, Pantherpelt." "Oh." Pantherpelt relaxed and sat down. "I see. So what's going to happen?" "Those kits have a very important destiny." Doveflower went on, her pale blue eyes widening with intensity. "We must guide them as well as we can throughout their training to be a loyal warrior- especially for the grief to come." "Grief?" Horror gripped Pantherpelt. "Yes." Sadness shone in Doveflower's eyes. "Death AND heartbreak, more than a cat usually experiences." Pantherpelt bowed her head. "Anyways." Doveflower narrowed her eyes. "I will be helping these young cats, since I am their kin, and I got this warning." She scanned the cats around her, a challenging look in her eyes. "I respect your wishes." Shadowclaw spoke. "It only makes sense. I know that you can do this." She looked at the cats around her, who all nodded in agreement, some actually agreeing, some reluctant about the idea, but were not about to refuse, so they accepted it anyway. Doveflower got up, shaking soft moss off her paws, and turning to leave. One by one, the other cats left as well. And below, three kits were born.
