Lucy Becomes Apart of Team 7?!?!

Chapter 16 - Waiting

Naruto POV 

It had already Been about 3 weeks since that orange haired man we call Pain had attacked the village. The villagers had been working day and night to restore the once beautiful place we all call home. 

I was on my way to Lucys house to check up on her. She hasn't woken since that day. It was heart breaking, everyday I had to check on her IV and redress her. Seeing her so powerless really started taking a toll on me. 

I haven't showered in a while, my hair is a mess, I have huge bags under my eyes, and I'm about 20 pounds underweight now. 

Once I arrived at her house I went inside and didn't see her laying on the bed, I feared the worst. "LUCY?!?!" I screamed as I ran in and looked for her. 

"N-Naruto?" I almost fainted. I looked to my left to see the beautiful, powerful blonde girl named Lucy walk out of her bathroom. "L...Lucy.." I whispered. I ran up to her and fell to my knees wrapping my arms around her waist, my head gently rested against her stomach. "Lucy.. your awake.." I started tearing up. "thank you Naruto" she said and I felt her hand softly glide along my hair and onto my cheek, her hand gently lifted my head so that I'm looking up at her. "thank you for everything, you tried running to me, tried stopping me, when no one else did." she smiled down at me and some of her tears that she had now been shedding landed on my face. 

"Lucy.." I whispered to her "you don't have to thank me I would run to your side no matter what" I started to lift myself back onto my feet. Once I was fully standing I Looked down at her, I was about a foot  taller than her. "I'm so glad you are awake" I said as I placed my hand on her cheek and stared down at her flawless porcelain face. 

After a couple of minutes of us just standing there I finally broke the silence. "Are you okay to walk a little, team Kakashi is down at the training grounds right now and they would be thrilled to see you" I said in a more uplifting tone. "sure let me change" she states as she walks into her closest and grabbed an outfit and went to her bathroom to change. 

As she was changing I noticed she left the door open just a tad, I couldn't help myself but glance in. When I glanced in I saw her side profile, and oh my she was PERFECT. I was blushing like a mad man, but instantly went to the front door so I wouldn't get caught.  

Lucy POV 

Once I was done changing I walked out of my bathroom and saw Naruto with a red face standing facing the door. "Naruto are you okay?" I said as he turned to look at me, and I swear I've never seen someone with such a beautiful smile other than Natsu. 

"I love it" he said as he stared at me with a big smile spreading across his semi tan face.
