The boy from district 2 came out.

"What are you doing here?" I ask

"I could ask you the same thing" he replied with a smirk.

"I was talking to my Mom now your turn." I snapped

"I couldn't sleep" he looked up at the sky.

"You're talking to a star"

"That's what my Mom is" I kept my guard up as he came closer now within touching distance.

"You know your impossible. A career that has a warm heart." he finally looked at me

"I'll take that as a complement"

"You should take everything i say to you as a complement" he smirked. Was he flirting with me?

"I'm Cato Vaelenn" he introduced himself

"Lacey Ryder" I replied

"Pretty name for a pretty girl" I rolled my eyes.

"If you're trying to worm your way in and find my weakness you can piss off because I've got them locked up like a Capitol vault." he laughed

"I like you, your feisty"

"And I will kick your ass if you try anything."

"It's a shame because you have such kissable lips"

"I'm not naive Cato i know what you're trying to do." I fold my arms and give him a pointed look

"And what would that be"

"Break something so that I'm an easier kill" I stated

"Not with you, you're different."

"How so?"

"You don't take bullshit. Yet you can be as harmless as a mouse. Talk about duel personality."

"I should be going" I went to leave but he pulled me back.

"Please stay. If you really want me to I won't talk" i thought about it for a minute and rationalised that I still wasn't relaxed enough to fall asleep.

"Fine" I sat down and crossed my legs. Cato took that opportunity to sit down next to me. We sat in silence and i forgot he was there till I started singing.

"you have a beautiful voice" he told me i looked at him.

"Thank you" i then yawned

"Goodnight Cato" i stood up and went to the elevator.

"Goodnight...Lacey"
