Leaving The Edge

Hiccup's Perspective:
Once me, Astrid and the rest of the gang started flying back to Berk after the volcano on the edge exploded, Tuffnut started crying. Everyone paused for a moment as Ruff asked Tuffnut what he was crying about. "CHICKEN!" He screamed. "We have to go back for chicken! Come on, please? I can't live without her. Astrid rolled her eyes. I looked at Tuffnut and nodded. "You two go back for Chicken, we'll meet you back at Berk". "Ugh!" Ruff shouted as she and Tuffnut flew back to the edge as fast as they could. "They'll be fine, their the twins! If anything comes their way, they'll just blow it up anyway" I said to everyone. We all flew back to the edge as the twins caught up with us holding Chicken in their hands.
It was gonna be a little while before we got
back to Berk so we stopped by a nearby island and set up camp for the night. Snotlout and Hookfang put on a fire for everyone that night. Astrid walked over and sat beside me. She put her head on my shoulder as a put my arm around her waist. Fishlegs looked over at us and started to smile. "So...how'd it happen?" Fishlegs asked me and Astrid. Astrid and me looked at each other. "Us?" We asked him. "Yeah. Like, how'd you two become a couple and when did it happen?" He asked us. "Well..." Astrid said to Fishlegs. "When I was blind a little while ago, me and Hiccup had a moment but never really got to finish it since a Triple Strike interupted. Once I got my sight back me and Hiccup started talked by the stables and ended up finishing the moment by kissing each other. That's when we decided to make it official". I pulled Astrid closer to me as she looked up at me and showed me a smile. "So, you two have been dating for about three months?! Why didn't you guys tell us then?!" Snotlout shouted at us. "Jeez Snotlout, calm down! They probably just wanted to keep it to themselves and enjoy it for a little bit until they were ready to tell everyone. No one wants to rush into telling people that quick anyways". Me and Astrid both agreed with Fishlegs. "Alright! We all gotta long day of flying tomorrow so I suggest we all start setting up to go to sleep now" I told everyone. Around a half an hour later, I was still awake. "Pst! Astrid!" I whispered. She turned around to look at me. "Can't sleep?" She asked me. "Nope" I said back to her. She walked over to me again and laid down next to me, snuggling into my chest as I put my arm around her and placed it on her shoulder pad pulling her closer. "What's on your mind?" She asked. "Well, I was thinking if maybe telling my dad about us when we get back to Berk" I told her. "Yeah, me too. I was thinking of telling my parents as well" she said to me. We both smiled at each other before Astrid closed her eyes. "So I guess that's what we'll do once we get back. It's time to let everyone know what's going on"...
