Stoick Finds Out

Third Person Perspective:
Everyone woke up early the next day since they had to start their flight early to get to Berk around noon time. Once everybody was up, the gang had breakfast then started on their way to Berk. They arrived at Berk a little later than expected but not by much. They all got to Berk after everyone finished eating around 1pm. Everybody on Berk started cheering once they saw the dragon riders flying towards Berk. The gang landed on Berk, safe and soundly once everyone rushed towards them to welcome them all back to Berk. When Hiccup got off of Toothless, he held Astrid's hand as Astrid was smiling beside him. Stoick ran out of his house to see his sons return. But once he saw the two of them holding hands, he was speechless. "Dad, we have something to tell you" Hiccup said to his dad. "Come" Stoick said in a unusual voice. The two of them followed the chief of Berk into his house. The fate of the new couples relationship was hanging in the air for now until they hear what Hiccup and Astrid's parents/parent say/says. Hiccup and Astrid sat down next to each other at the table they had on the main floor while Stoick was sitting directly across from him. "So son, what did you and Astrid want to tell me?" Stoick asked politely. "Well...this happened about three months ago on the edge when Astrid was blindsided. We hung out a lot together during that time. What I'm trying to say is that, me and Astrid...we're dating". The chief of Berk sat their, completely silent for a while. "Uhh, dad?" Hiccup asked. "Stoick, are you alright?" Astrid asked him. Stoick started to break down laughing. "Dad? Seriously, what's so funny?" Stoick picked both Hiccup and Astrid up and hugged them so tight they could barely breath. "I'm...I...Stoick, I can't breath!" Astrid said gasping for air. "You'll get used to it" Hiccup said also gasping for air. "Oh Astrid, you can call me...dad" Stoick told her. "Dad?" She asked. "Yes! It sounds even better when you say it! Yes! I was hoping for this!" Stoick shouted. Uhh...you were?" Hiccup asked his father. "Yeah! Oh, I remember all the times I saw the spark between you two and wanted to help but I said to myself, nope! They'll get there when they get there. And you guys did! Oh Thor!
This is the best news I've heard in a long time! We should celebrate! We'll host a get together for everyone in the great hall! Oh it'll be like an engagement party! "Hiccup and Astrid both looked at each other then back at Stoick. "What?!" They both said. "Dad, we didn't think that far into it yet. We're just taking our time for now and enjoying...this". Astrid laid her head on Hiccup's shoulder while Hiccup put his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. Stoick's eyes started tearing up. "Come on dad" Hiccup told his dad. "I'll tell everyone right away!" Stoick said rushing off to tell everyone about the party that night.

HICCUP'S PERSPECTIVE:
My dad started going crazy around town while telling everyone about the "party". Astrid went with her parents for a little bit and I went in the arena after Gobber didn't need any more help in the workshop. When I was alone in the arena that night before the party, Astrid came into the arena to see me. "Yeah Astrid! What's up?" I asked her. "My parents" she said. I looked at her puzzled. "Huh?" I asked. "It's time for you to finally meet my parents"...

That's all for now! I'm going on a ten day trip soon but I'll try to fit in at least two more chapters to this story before I go. Bye for now!👋
