Dear Wan Wan,
You have always been the popular one between the two of us.
In fact, you were the most popular guy in the whole school.
You were good at everything you did. Be it sports or studies, friendship or rivalry.
As usual, the girls were head over heels in love with you and you used to tell me about all those anonymous letters, text messages, emails and phone calls.
Remember, how we used to make fun of them? That was good times.
Nobody knew you from the inside. Nobody knew the problems that kept you tossing on the bed all night.
Except for me.
You were not happy.
I saw that. Your parents were always quarrelling or shouting.
Just to escape those, you came to me. By climbing the water-pipe of my house. I was always scared that you may fall.
But you didn’t.
Never.
I was raised by a single mother so I never had those problems. Yet, I tried to understand you every time.
I think I did.
Did I?
You always said you wanted to leave this place and go far away, built a future without your parents.
And I always thought I was gonna be a part of that.
What the hell did I know?
Yours,
Snowflake.
