Jessica's POV

"YES!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, causing my mom and sister, Krystal, to rush into my room.

"What happened?" they asked in unison.

"I won a contest to be on a show with EXO!"

"What? No way!" Krystal crossed her arms and huffed in disbelief.

"See for yourself!" She grabbed the letter holding the information from my hands and read it aloud.

"Dear Ms. Jessica Jung,

Thank you for participating in our contest. We are pleased to congratulate you and eight other girls and fly you to Korea to be on a reality show with the boys of EXO themselves for six months! As you should already know, the show is a match-making show. A drama-filled reality show showing EXO's dorm life, but introducing nine normal girls, like yourself, into their household for six months. And the overall goal is to find love. We'll fly you to Seoul very soon, so pack your things and be ready. Good luck!

-SM Entertainment"

"See? I won!"

"No fair! Mom! Are you really gonna let her fly to Korea to be on a show with twelve boys? You won't, right mom?"

"Well, we'll watch the show to keep an eye on her," said our mom.

"Meaning I can go?" I jumped for joy.

"What? Are you crazy?" Krystal pleaded but evidently went unnoticed.

"Sure, you're old enough to go on your own. I trust that you won't do anything too stupid."

"No promises," I jokingly said with a wink. "Now, I need to start packing!"

*****

The last person I met with before my departure for Korea was my best friend Christina.

"I still can't believe you're actually going to meet EXO. So lucky."

"I know! I still can't believe I'll be leaving tomorrow to be with them for six whole months."

"Imagine if Junmyeon fell for you," she uttered causing my face to flush bright red as I slapped her arm.

I nudged her back. "Who knows if any of them will like me? That would be a blessing in itself."

"Just stay away from Jongdae, okay?" She lifted her eyebrows. I knew she was joking, but Chen was her favorite.

"Yeah yeah." I rolled my eyes and glanced at my phone which beheld the time: 11:07. "It's getting late! I should get going."

"But I'm not ready for you to go! What will I do without you for a whole six months?" She chuckled a little.

"Don't worry, we'll text and FaceTime all the time, okay? Keep me updated on everything happening here?"

"Yeah," she sniffled, "and tell me everything they don't show on camera." She smirked again.

"What a perv!" I ruffled her short hair.

"Hey!" She tried to fix it and I laughed, standing up and her following immediately after. "So, I guess this is it."

"Yeah, I guess it is, but only for now. I'll be back at the end of February, okay?"

"Okay." She wiped a tear.

"Aww, Christina!" I hugged her tightly. "Are you sure you can't come to the airport tomorrow?"

"Sadly, yes. I have an important date with Jeffrey." She wiped another tear. Jeffrey was Christina's boyfriend of six years. She had told me that they had been having problems, so she would do anything to keep them together.
