After all my arguing about this search to find this powerful demigod, I was elected to go. It was an embarrassment.
Luckily, Raven and Ella would be with me, and that cancels out Dan & Finn. Dan is okay but Finn is a snobby jerk obsessed with his hair.

Once we got to New York I abandoned the rest of the group to take advantage of my time here. I hailed a taxi and decided to pay a visit to my mom, the famous Avenger, Wasp.

Now, as I stand in front of the Avenger's mansion, fear courses through my body. The last time I saw my mom, we got into a fight.

I waver before ringing the doorbell.

Finally, I punch the button and immediately regret it. I hold my breath as the door swings open.

"Good morning Jacqui," greets, Steve Rogers, the one and only Captain America.

I exhale in relief.

"Hi is my mom here?" I ask nervously.

"She's...uh...not here right now," he answers.

I don't know if I'm disappointed or relieved. "Oh okay" I turn to leave.

"Wait" he calls out. I turn back. "Why don't you come in? We have something to discuss about your father's side of the family."

I walk in and he shuts and locks the door. I automatically tense up.

"What is it?" I question suspiciously. He locks eyes with me and begins.

"After Thor went missing-" I cut him of automatically.

"Mandy, his daughter told me."

"Oh, well, just let me finish. Anyway after that I've been seeing some pretty strange things, like monsters walking around and I've gotten some calls from civilians about this too. We're seeing things that we shouldn't be. Your mist that you say hides these things is fading and I believe Thor's disappearance has something to do with it."

"I'll keep my eyes open," I promise.

"Thanks, and I got a package in the mail for you."

He hands me a white, paper, envelope. I choke. The address? It's from Olympus. I take it. He escorts me out of the mansion.

I walk down the street, past an alley, when I get a tense feeling in my gut, like I do when monsters are around. I glance down the alley and see two figures. I duck behind a dumpster & listen in.

"I'm sure he'll be fine," a girl's voice says.

"I hope. After all, the drakon attack was pretty hard on him," says a guy.

I peer around the dumpster and see a dark skinned girl with choppy hair and a blond boy holding hands. The girl is wearing orange but the guy is wearing purple, the color of Rome. Coincidence? I think not.

I summon my sword and lunge at them. A shocked look appears on their faces, but they quickly take action.

The blond flips a coin and a lance appears in his hand. He pushes the girl behind him and charges. I perry his attack and slice his arm. He stumbles forward but I charge at the girl.

"Don't come any closer!" she cries. I stop mid-charge. She's using charmspeak on me.

Half my brain is saying listening to that sweet, sweet girl. The other half is yelling what's wrong with you Jacqui? KILL HER!!! I continue charging.

"Stop!" she yells, but I zone out her voice and press my sword against her neck.

"Come one step closer and she'll be gone," I threaten the blond. "Now, TELL ME WHO YOU ARE!" The blond shift, looks past me, nods, and then grabs the girl from my grasp while someone behind me grabs me. "Let go!" I yell, bringing up my sword to cut the arm that's holding me but a hand bursts into flames, three inches from my face. I drop my blade and scream.

The girl walks forward "The question: is who you are?"

"Jac-" I freeze. "Not telling you.

"Leo" she says and the flaming hand gets closer to me.

"Alright!" I exclaim. "Jacqui!"

She starts firing questions.

"Are you a demigod?"

"Obviously!"

"Who's your godly parent?"

"Hermes"

"How are you alive?"

For the second time today I choke in disbelieve. "Uhh... by breathing."

"Are you a Roman?"

"Hermes you idiot!" I half-yell.

"Watch how you talk to Piper," the blond growls, obviously her boyfriend.

"Right," she continues. "Where do you live?"

"On Earth!" I snap. She tosses me a dirty Look. "Make Leo let me go and I'll tell you," I offer.

"How do you know his name?" she asks suspiciously.

"You said it!" I do yell this time. The blond looks murderous.

"I said watch how you talk to her!" he snarls.

Leo lets me go. I bend over to pick up my weapon but she kicks it away.

Suddenly, one of my fantastic plans pops into my mind. I scream, "Oh my gods! A hydra!" I point behind them to the imaginary hydra and run past them. I pick up my package on the way out.

I sprint down the street until I'm stopped by a mob of running people screaming "Monster!" and "Run for your life!"

I shove through the crowd until I'm standing face-to-face with a real hydra.
I jinxed it. Great. Now I have to fight a fire breathing, acid spitting, seven headed, dragon with a gift from my dad who hates me. How could my day get any worse?
