When we get downstairs, we see the table set neatly and enough food to feed a city. I notice Evalynn tense at the sight of all the food. She's been eating a lot more since she's been staying here but she's still not used to eating so much.

I grab her hand and whisper to her, "Its gonna be okay babe." She takes a deep breath and gives me a slight nod before we head to the table.

The meal begins and we start eating but Evalynn stays tense. I know she wants me to enjoy my time with my parents, but I can't take seeing her so uncomfortable. I wish we would've just stayed up in our room like we suggested.

When my mother notices Evalynn not eating, she decides to open her stupid mouth.

"Well, apparently my cooking just isn't good enough for miss Evalynn over there..." she says passive aggressively.

I absolutely cannot believe her. Why the hell is she like this? Every time she says these things I know it hurts Ev. She's been able to hide it before but this hits her in a soft spot and it shows. My sick mother smiles in seeing that she's gotten under Evalynn's skin.

"I-Its f-fin-ne," she says, obviously choking back tears.

"What the hell, mum?" I spit at her, "Can't you just leave her alone?"

"No, actually I can't," she responds, "You may be able to look past her utter greediness, but I won't. I won't sit here with my mouth shut while you let her walk all over you. All she wants is your money and I can't believe you're letting this happen. You've seen it happen with all the other girls you've dated since X Factor, why can't you see it now?"

"Maybe because its not happening?! She doesn't ask anything of me ever and she never would. Why won't you give her a chance to show that? All you've done since she's gotten here is harass her and we're both sick of it!"

"Louis, I get it. You're 25 years old and you want to have some fun. She may be good in bed but that doesn't mean you have to defend her."

I cannot believe she just went there. Evalynn and I haven't even done it yet. And even so, I would never just date someone for that. I'm not that type of person and it hurts that my own mum thinks I could be.

"That's it," I say as I stand up from the table, "Come on Ev, I can't be around this anymore."

She gets up from the table timidly and slowly makes her way upstairs behind me, still shocked about what she just witnessed.

When we get back to the room, I go straight into bed and bury myself in covers. I still can't believe what my mother just said to us. Does she really think I do that type of thing? I mean, yeah, sex is great and all, but that's not what matters most in a relationship. If you don't connect on an emotional level first, how can you expect to connect on a physical one?

I feel Evalynn get in bed beside me and wrap her arms around my waist. I roll over to face her but I can't help but continue dwelling on the conversation that just occurred. She notices and places a kiss on my nose.

"Hey, don't listen to her babe," she says, "She doesn't know what she's talking about. You're an amazing person inside and out and I know you'd never do that type of thing, no matter who the person is."

I look up and see her looking at me with nothing but love in her eyes. Even though my mum said much worse things about her, she's still here with nothing but love and support for me. I am so happy I brought her here with me. Honestly, I'm not sure if I could've made it through without her.

A smile breaks out on my face and I place a sweet kiss on her lips. "I love you," is all i can manage to say in response to her caring remarks.

"I love you too," she says in return.

All returns to normal in our little world and we continue talking until the late hours of the night until she falls asleep on my chest.
