The moment we enter my room, Evalynn shuts the door and lays her body against it. She looks genuinely happy and t peace with life. It's so nice to see her like this. All I want for her is happiness.

She walks towards me and wraps her arms around my waist and I do the same, bringing a smile to my face.

"We've made it through the initial confrontation!" she says before giving me a quick kiss. "Yeah," I say before pulling her in for a longer one. Maybe my parents will be nicer to me since she's here. It may not be ideal, but at least I won't be depressed this holiday. I can enjoy my time with my beautiful new girlfriend without any dread hovering on top of my head.

We pull apart and I lay my forehead on hers. I can't help but feel at peace right now. Its such an odd feeling to have in this place. Evalynn looks up into my eyes and gives me another quick kiss before pulling her head farther away.

"Hey, I have an idea on how to make this amazing day even better!" she says excitedly.

"Oh yeah? Whats that?"

"How about we go to the market and overload on energy drinks so we can pull an all nighter so we can just spend more time together?"

Her smile widens more and more as she says this and its so adorable, I can't help but reciprocate it.

"That sounds absolutely perfect," I reply.

I kiss her once more before we go back downstairs.

"We're going out," I say to my parents as I pass them in the kitchen.

"Okay sweetie, have fun," I hear my mum say as we walk back outside.
