"So, you're saying you're just going to walk up to some boys and ask them to eat with you?" Rachel asked over the face-cam. I sigh. This is going to be a LONG conversation. "No, I think I need to go somewhere with boys that enjoy what I enjoy, and then just wait," I reply. She gave me the "Really?" look. "You're not the kind of person to just 'wait' for something," she said with air quotes. I shake my head. "I can wait when I want to wait," I say. Rachel laughs at that. "Yeah, sure Mrs. I have an attention span of about five seconds. But where would you go? It's not like we have a Gamer Club or something," she said. I thought for a second, then it clicked. "We have PAX East! That would be perfect!" Rachel nearly fell out of her chair in laughter. We ended the call after a little bit more talking and planning.
I was up until 11:30 at night getting all of the information together. It would take some luck and a chunk of my savings, but would it be worth it to fill the void in my heart? The world may never know. But let's hope they do soon.
I checked my phone to see a Team Crafted update video. I started shaking inside. They were so cute (especially Jerome and Ian)! I started blushing just at the thought. Then I shook my head. I could never be with one of them. The only thing I would be to them is another fangirl. Well, a girl can dream, right?
I lean on my couch, my head held in my hands. I had to admit, I was a little jittery every time I saw this notification. I clicked play and nearly collapsed. They were going to be at PAX East, and I was going to be, and...and...AHH! I was too happy for words. I just giggled inside and watched the rest of the video.
When it was done, I walked to bed, unable to sleep anytime soon. I got into bed, blonde hair flying in my face. I basically stared at the ceiling, gathering my thoughts together. Would it be all that impossible to fall in love with one of Team Crafted? Maybe, but probably not. I mean, COME ON. They all probably already have girlfriends. They're just so lovable! But, what about heartbreak? It could happen, but...
Well, you know what Mrs. Holly always said. If you fall overboard, you just have to swim until you drown.
