Please leave me alone~

One of the scientists held up a needle with a proud, smug look on their face. "This won't take long, now stay still you animal."

"No, no, no, no, no!" I cried.

One of the men walked in my direction and fear snaked down my back. Since my legs were numb to the point I couldn't walk at all to try to escape.

"Leave me alone!" I screamed to the point my throat stung a bit. "And when I escape from this shitty place, I'll make sure the world knows about this! Every single person!"

The man grabbed a fistful of my hair and carelessly tossed me on the bed. I landed on my back and the impact made me grit my teeth as tears pricked the corners of my eyes. He strapped my wrists to the bounds, and once I realized he was going for my ankles, I started kicking and screaming like an animal.

Still, he was able to strap my ankles down and secure them tightly with the attached belt.

The scientist with the needle came closer to me as some green liquid was slowly pouring out of it.

"Go to hell! Go to hell! Go burn in fucking hell!" I screeched, my throat stinging at full force now, but neither of them cared. As long as they were paid to their standards, they were okay with basically killing somebody else.

Tears were streaming down my cheeks as I was breaking into a cold sweat. That serum could do anything as far as turning me numb to flat out killing me. Anything in between was still considered torture.

"You're such bad people," I said once I ran out of energy to resist and to scream at full force. "I don't know how you humans can harm another human and totally be okay with it."

There was a sharp pain in my chest, then everything went blurry and was turning into a tint of red. Then, I felt as if I was falling from the sky, like I had slipped from God's hands.

I sat up, colliding with something hard.

"Owww," Xander and I yelled.

Xander looked down at me while holding his chin as his eyes filled with tears. "Oww what the hell Amilia?"

Holding my forehead, I spat, "Well, you should be more aware if someone was laying down on your lap."

Tears pricked my eyes as my head started pounding. Xander looked down at me with a confused face as his cheeks were lightly dusted with pink. "You were laying on my lap?"

Biting the inside of my cheek, I looked away, my whole face becoming warm. "Nevermind," I muttered under my breath.

The morning sunlight poured in from the window and leaked from the windowsill and dripped onto the floor like an ink spill. It was easy to see any golden dust wandering about and the morning sun warmed any part of my body that was exposed to it.

Then it hit me.

"Oh shit," I cursed, jumping from the couch and making my way to the door.

"Hey wait, where're you going?" Xander called, sticking his arm out.
