•Nightcore ⇨ Sinner's Heist Ft. Harley Bird - Streetlight People•

"This is great,"

"No kidding, plus this is our first adventure!" Cammy exclaimed. "And on our first day too!"

Fumiko walked up to Cammy's side. "You guys seem super excited about this," Fumiko noticed glumly.

"Hell yeah I am," Cammy said, pumping her fist in the air.

Fumiko's face hardened. "Look kid, this isn't some sort of game where if you die, you'll just bounce back to life. Once you're gone, you're gone."

With that, she stalked off, leaving the two of us behind.

"Damn, what's her deal?" I mumbled to Cammy.

Cammy sighed as if Fumiko was her older sis. "That's just her," Cammy explained. "She can be sour sometimes, but that:s just how she is. Take it from me; we used to be roommates before she moved back in with her parents."

"Mhm," I muttered. "Why'd she move back?"

"She couldn't pay her half of the rent," Cammy said. "We split the rent into halves, and even though she was working, she couldn't get any of her half paid, so she moved back in with her dad and aunt."

  "Oh, oka-"

"Shh, I hear something," Amya turned around and hissed.

Cammy and I, as well as the rest of the group fell silent, until the only thing audible was the chirps of birds and crickets in the night

I assumed a fighting stance. Back at GLASS, we were trained and forced to fight each other. Everyone had a certain fighting style, and mine's the strategic planning. Very few had this style, since it wasn't used because everyone fought all out. There wasn't any time to plan.

But I haven't had time to use my skills to fight for a while, even at GLASS, so I had almost forgot what I should've done. And although I was good at fighting, I was better at medical and nursing. It has never been my passion, but it was just some useful skill I was born with.

  "Get into position!" Amya commanded.

Suddenly, a giant dog like creature sprung from the trees and landed before us. Cammy screeched loudly and I moved in front of her. "Stay back" I told her.

Then I pounced up high enough to get a good wide enough scale on how big it is.

Sticking my foot out, I fell down straight to make sure I landed right on its muzzle. It whimpered for a second, then growled. It felt like a earthquake from where I was and I gripped into its giant hairs.

 "Look out, Chino,"

I looked up and there was a giant flamming arrow headed my way. I jumped down from it's face, trying not to be hit, and landed next to Amya.

The flamming arrow squarely landed right where I was standing and the creature's fur was lit on fire. The creature cried out in agony and started running around to put the fire out.

  "Now!" Amya called out.

I looked behind me and everyone had the longest piece of rope you could imagine wrapped around the creature's paws. They, including Amya, pulled with all their might to topple the creature over, the lingering fire slowly putting it to it's death.

And for some strange reason, I felt useless.

As we arrived back at Zero Sun, the team cheered among themselves whilst I separated myself from the crowd and stood off in the corner of the room.
