The wind roared as it rushed past my ears, my wild black hair flinging every which way, my body tumbled through empty space. Nothing was alive, nothing was dead. It just was. Except for me, and they could tell it, the SHADOWS. They sensed my life, and I reeked of it. They were hungry and only I could give them food. My eyes opened and I was in his bed, the SHADOWS were gone. I was alone.
"P...Pe...Perccc...Percy"It was almost a whisper in my ear. However a quick look around showed me that now one was near.
"Dad is that you?" With a sigh I got out of bed. Letting out a yawn i grabbed my shirt off the floor. Stepping towards my bathroom and putting a hand on the knob, it hit me, a sudden desire to go see my dad on olympus. "Got bored of using words did you. Well i'll be there in a little bit."
Minutes later, after a shower and other hygienic things, I stepped out of my cabin and started towards the big house. As i walked i smiled and waved at the people i knew, and laughed when i saw clarisse chasing the stoll brothers, whipped cream all over her face. I knew i was home and yet it was missing something, someone, someone i knew i would never get back. Yet here i was with the people i thought of as family and the camp i thought of as home. The smile came back to my face and i knew it was gonna be a good day.
Arriving at the big house, i waved to the campers leaning against the wall before heading inside. My eyes found Seymour's head on the wall before settling on the middle age man in the wheelchair. His brown hair, eyes, and beard hid his age well. However one look in his eyes would tell you he's seen things that no one else has.
"Percy, it's good to see you. Was there anything you need?"Chiron's voice was old and calming, like a kind grandfather. i explained to him how my father had contacted me and what he had asked of me. "Well, i see no reason why a boy can't go see his father, but i can't help but ask you to be careful, I would hate to see you disappear" With that he left, leaving me with more to think about than ever before.

As I approached the bottom of Half-Blood Hill, i spotted Argus standing by the camp van. Argus's blonde hair flapped in the wind, and his blue eyes blinked simultaneously, all of them, all over his body. It was rather unsettling.
"Hey Argus, how you doing?" His only response was silence. Argus walked over to the van and got in the front seat. Shaking my head, I followed. After a boring, silent drive they arrived at the Empire State Building, which was as magnificent as ever. Stepping out of the car and thanking Argus, I walked in to the main room and stood in front of the desk. "I've been summoned by Lord Poseidon"
"Yeah, real funny bud. Who do you think I am, the doorman to Olympus." The doorman replied, without looking up from his paper.
"You know you are man, so just let me up" At this the doorman looked up and silently handed me the key. Saying a quick thanks, I stepped into the elevator and put the keycard in the slot. As the bad music started up, I realised I had no idea why Poseidon would call me up to Olympus and not down to his underwater palace. Putting it out of my head, i walked out of the elevator and made my way up the floating stones.
Olympus was full of people milling about from place to place, eating at a open air pavillon, having a sword contest in an arena, or planting trees in the many gardens. After a short walk I arrived in front of the Olympian throne room. It always amazed me how big it looked to human eyes.
Before I walked in I stopped one of the naiads outside the doors."Hey is Poseidon in there"
"I believe he is over by the ponds that were designed last year" Her face scrunched up before she realised who I was and what she just said "Oh Gods i'm so sorry, i didn't realise it was you..."
"It's oh...okay" I wiped back my tears as i walked off. I didn't need to be reminded of my failures. I kept walking till i arrived at the Olympic sized pool and setting on the side with his feet in the water was my dad. His wild black hair and sea green eyes which were so like my own seem to stand out in the mass of blonde haired naiads and nymphs surrounding the pool.
"Percy, my boy, it's good to see you " somehow he had managed to move next to me. "Who made you cry" In an instant his calm voice and nice demeanor was replaced with a fury the likes of the ocean on a stormy day. "Who do i need to have a talk with perce"
"No one dad, a naiad just said the wrong thing at the wrong time" I muttered. I guess i wasn't too convincing because Poseidon seemed to stay angry but at least he tried to keep it under control.
"Ok, now to talk about why you're here." As poseidon began to explain what i was here for I finally understood why everyone thought he was so chill. Till he finished his explanation.
"Wait Hecate needs me to go to a mysterious new land without any knowledge as to why i'm there other than to help some farm boy defeat a mad king?" I shouted. A quick glance around me let me know that i had definitely got everyone's attention.
"Look Perce, Hecate needs you to do this. Plus i owe her this for that accident last month. You can always say no, but you don't want Hecate on your enemies list".
"Ok" and that's the last thing i said before everything went black
