The nurses office has always been a second home for you. Going there almost everyday for the same reason has almost made it feel like a routine. When you're there you sit in one of the two beds in one of the rooms and wait for your anxiety to pass, or atleast calm down.
Of course you go there for other reason too, like cramps, stomach aches, or you just need a place to rest. You've gotten close to the nurse who is named Mrs. Degroot. She like a mother to you minus the actual giving birth part.
"Oh hello Y/N, what's wrong today?" Mrs degroot said with smile. She turned to her computer and began to type your name down.
" Stomach ache." You groan slumping in the metal chair against the wall.
" Well you know the drill, try using the bathroom to see if it helps. If not you can rest in the room or go home." She gives you the key to the nurses bathroom and opens it.
You enter and look at yourself in the mirror. You lied. It's not a stomach ache although it felt like one. You wanted to cry and scream but you couldn't, not at school atleast. Timed writing assignments in class have always been the death to you. Watching as the time ticked down by each second. Looking around for any inspiration for a topic sentence or just any idea. Your fingers begin to shake and soon enough you can barley hold the pencil. You raise your hand and with your voice cracking and tears forming in your eyes ask if you can go the nurse.
You look back up at the sink and splash water on your face. You flush the toilet to pretend you used it and come back out to quite a scene.
" Maybe if you paid a bit more attention to the ball and a little bit less to the girls soccer team you wouldn't be bleeding right now!" Said a tall green eyed student. You looked down at the chair you were once previously sitting in and saw a boy with black hair bleeding from his nose and his knees.
" You gotta admit they have-" He begin to say before he is cut off but his own scream of pain.
" This night hurt a bit but we need to clean your scratches."
You stand there awkwardly hoping no one has noticed you just staring at this bleeding boy, watching this all take place.
The bleeding boy began to say, " Owww you know Lev, you can- you can leave... Jesus Christ that burns!"
Lev, shrugs and walks away from the boy and waves goodbye and says " Feel better Kuroo-Chan." Kuroo waves sarcastically with an attitude before flinching in pain once more.
" There annnnnd your done" Mrs.Degroot said.
" So I can go back to gym now?"
" Absolutely not, oh Y/N how are you feeling?"
You look up and begin to stutter. " My stomach still hurts but I-" you pause as you notice That the bleeding boy is staring at you. " I- um can I just- can I just stay here in one of the rooms for awhile?" You ask trying to block the boys eye from your field of view.
" Of course, now as for you relax in gym okay? and like your friend said... pay attention to the ball. It helps." She laughs and turns to the computer again. She asked the boy question so that she can fill out the template on her computer. You learn that his name is Tetsuro Kuroo, he is in His third year like you and that during your history class he has gym. Some information is more pointless then others but that's not the point.
" Now Kuroo, you might want to lay down for the rest of this period." You stand there once again awkwardly because she didn't unlock the room for you.
" But I'm better now... can't I just go?" Kuroo says. He looks at you and then back at the nurse. You can't but help but worry what he's thinking about you. Maybe he's thinking that your ugly. Worse things pop into you mind but you try your best to shake it off.
After a few moments of bickering  back and forth Mrs. Degroot won and now she unlocks the door to the room. You lay down on the plastic green bed while kuroo lays down on the other.
" Do you mind if I turn the lights off?" You ask.
" Huh? Oh what sure." Kuroo replies. You close your eyes but you are interrupted by kuroo.
" So what's your name?" Kuroo asks.
You sigh. "You, you know your not supposed  speak but- uh it's F/N..."
" Doesn't ring a bell, what year?" Kuroos asks curiously.
    " 3rd- 3rd year."
" Oh same? Did you transfer this year?"
" Uh no, I've been in this district for awhile... since 3rd grade actually."
"Huh its weird that I don't know you." He laughs. " Come on we have to have atleast one class together!" He sits up in his seat.
You sigh again. " Well to be honest... Ive never seen you around before..."
   He tsks and then laughs.
      " What?" You ask.
" How do you not know me? I'm loud and obnoxious! Plus I'm on the announcements almost every other day for volleyball." He says. He stands up and turns the light back on. He sits back down on the plastic bed which grabs your attention. " So you seriously don't know me?"
     You shake your head no.
" Well then," he claps," My name is Kuroo tetsuro, I'm the captain of the volleyball team, I'm a weird guy but I hope I get to see you around."
" Uh yeah sure." You say.
After that eventful nurses visits its lunch time for the 3rd years. You take your lunch out and set it up on your desk. None of your friends are in your class this year so you eat alone.
1 because your to nervous to go up to your own friends and
2, because the lunch room is way to loud and will overwhelm you.
You peacefully start to eat your food until the door slam opens, scaring you making you drop your sandwich. You groan in frustration until you look up at who it is. It's kuroo from earlier.
You heard him whisper something to himself you could only pick up on a few words. The classroom was quite empty it was only you and the other loner kids along with one small group of friends in the front. You heard him say something along the lines of " Is she in this class?"
He scans the room looking for something. You pick up your Sandwich off the ground and that's when you hear Kuroo yell making you drop it again.
" Y/N-Chan!" Kuroo yells while coming up to you. You look around at all the eyes staring at you wishing he would stop.
" Hi- hello Kuroo-San." You say quietly. Successfully picking up your now inedible sandwich.
" So you are the 3rd year!, no wonder why I haven't seen you around your so quiet !" He says. You hear the whispers of the group of friends in the front of the class. You feel your face start to get red. You lightly try to tell him to be more quite but no words escape out from your mouth.
" You know I asked all my other friends and they haven't heard of you either! Weird huh! Your kinda of a mystery, which is why I want to get to know you more! So what do you say?"
You were speechless the only thing you could say was " uh uh what."
You begin to feel you face turn reder and your eyes begin to tear up. You look up at kuroo knowing it's not his fault that your almost about to cry. You blame your head and as you close your eyes kuroo speaks.
    " Hey you okay?"
You say nothing again except you run towards the girls restroom leaving Kuroo alone.
He doesn't run after you except he just stands there speechless.  One of the kids who sits alone says to Kuroo " Dude you completely overwhelmed her, jeez don't you know when to stop? Y/N's quiet and shy and cry's a lot. So you better go find her." He looks at the fellow classmate and nods. Before leaving he grabs your water bottle and tries to catch up to you in the hallway only being stopped by the bathroom door. He stands outside it waiting for the door to reopen. By this time lunch is over and your both late to class.
He stands with your water bottle in his hands and leaves it outside the bathroom before walking away with his head down.
