Chapter-1

Wind blows over the curtains, in her room as dawn sets in. The tender rays of the sun falling on her sensitive eyes as she opens them. The first thing she did once she woke up from bed was looking at her family portrait that lay beside her and talk to her estranged mom and dad. Mom, dad, how i really wish you people were here. She wiped off her tears as she spoke. Keeping it aside she went to get ready.

On the other hand, a boy in his early twenties, handsome and charming, looks for which any girl would fall head over heels in love with came out finishing his bath. His messy hair and well built physique made him more desirable.Standing before the mirror, Keerti, there is something about this girl, i always admire. What does she mean to me?? he said smiling to himself as he messed his hair.

Both of them came down after getting ready. They greeted all elders. Naksh hugged akshara.

Naksh: Good morning mumma.

Akshara: Morning duggu. She then hugged keerti and said good morning keerti. A big smile crept up on her face. Good morning maa she said. This was their daily routine. As she had lost her parents at a very young age akshara and naitik left no stone unturned to keep her happy.

They had their breakfast and left for college. As soon as they reached, they saw aditya and his gang standing at the entrance. Aditya was the son of a rich business man and was a spoilt kid. He was a womanizer and used to woo girls. He had once misbehaved with keerti as well. From then on keerti used to be scared of him and avoid him.

Her hands shivered in fear as she entered seeing him. Naksh held her hand and gave her an assuring look. I am there na, he said and wrapped his arm around her shoulder and led her in.He also gave a death glare to aditya . Both of them on the verge of fighting again but seeing the principal come they went to their respective classes.

All while the classes were going on naksh's gaze was constantly on keerti only. He couldn't concentrate much on his class. The reason which even he didn't know. Something which always made him smile looking at her innocent and beautiful face.

After the class was over every one went to the canteen, but keerti remained in the class. She was busy taking down notes. Naksh saw this and came and sat down beside her. Her hair was constantly falling on her face as she was working. He gently tucked her hair behind her ear. She looked at him surprisingly, and he just smiled. She resumed her work. She was looking like a kid who would be punished if she wouldn't have completed her work. Naksh simply was adoring her as he had a smile on his face looking at her.

In the evening they were returning home, on the way she saw an ice cream parlor and immediately her mood went off. Her eyes brimmed with tears. Naksh observed this and he stopped the car.

Naksh: Keerti, What happened?? Why are you crying?? he asked in a tensed tone.

Keerti: Nothing naksh. Nothing happened. Let's go home.

He got down from the car, he asked her to come with him and they sat down on a bench on the side. He gave her some water to drink.

Naksh: Now tell me what happened??

Keerti: Ac.. Actually on seeing that ice cream parlor, I just remembered by mom and dad. You know, when kartik and i were kids, we used to very often go out and have fun. I was the youngest so dad used to pamper me a lot. She totally broke down saying this. Naksh also had tears listening. He hugged her tightly and gently caressed her hair. He didn't know what to speak, he was out of words.

And all of a sudden they died in an accident.She continued speaking. My chachu wanted us to stay with them but dadi said we are bad luck, especially me because after i was born all this happened. I was too young to understand anything. Just then akshara maa and naitik papa came, they said they'll take care of the two of us. After that my family shifted to london because dadi didn't want chachu to stay in touch with us. Thanks to your family they accepted us. She was crying uncontrollably as she finished.

Naksh was shocked as he didn't know she actually had a family and they refused to accept her. He wiped off his tears. He held her face in his palms, wiped her tears and kissed her on her forehead. For the first time she felt so much of peace and tranquil prevail within her. She didn't know why but this feeling of being cared by naksh made her soul happy. Soon they came to their normal selves.

Naksh: Promise me never again you'll say that you don't have anyone and will not cry.

Keerti: Promise.

Naksh: Ok so come, lets have ice cream now. He said and held her hand and took her. After that they returned home.

Both of them silently went to their respective rooms. They were thinking of what just happened between them. Keerti had a slight blush remembering the kiss. She felt peace in his arms. Slowly she was being attracted to him. Naksh no exception he was also thinking about why he had tears on seeing her cry. What were his feelings towards her. Thinking about all this they slept off hugging the pillow.
