A second later, it forcefully pushes little Grace out of the two-story window and I hear a spine chilling, crack sound come from below.

"Oh my god!!!" I screamed as I pulled at my hair. My eyes were red and my tan face was now pale. "What's the matter, dear?" My mom asked from downstairs.

Trembled with absolute fear and horror, my eyes began to water as I quietly say. "I-It's the doll mom. Oh my god, it's the doll."

I run towards the window, launching myself at the doll. "She's just a little girl! Why! She's just a little girl." I screamed at the monster. It quickly yanked me by my hair and harshly threw me against the wall by the window, causing a sharp pain in my back.

Feeling dazed, I am slouched against the wall, my vision is starting to become blurry once again but I keep my eyes wide open, in hope it would stop.

My eyes start to slowly close and I feel like I am going to pass out. I try to pick my aching body up as I hear my mother rush upstairs.

"What on Earth!" She gasps as she sees me. Her eyes dart towards Grace's bed. "Where's Grace?" She starts to panic.

"Mom!" I frantically yell, I can barely see anything. "It's that creature mom! It's demonic, demented, evil!" I point towards where I last saw the doll.

It's gone.

"The monster did this!" I point to the window, unable to fully stand up. "She didn't deserve any of this. Oh God." I say in between hysteric sobs. I can't even catch my breath.

She looks so confused and worried and I just continue to point to the window.

My mom glances at my frightened face and then walks towards the window, instantly looking downwards.

She lets out the most spine-chilling scream. "My baby!" She screams and pushed past me, running downstairs. I shakily stand up, and try to follow her.

A heavy sense of dizziness overcomes me as I walk down, step by step. "I'm coming mom!" I call out, wobbling along each step.

I finally reach the first floor and try my hardest to run out to the side of the house where my sister's window is. I look over and see my mom holding Grace in her arms and hysterically crying on the grass.

Grace's sweet, innocent face had bloody gashes along her hair line and there was a small puddle of blood coming out from under her back. Her unicorn pajamas were covered in dirt and blood and I could hear an ambulance siren from a short distance away.

Within minutes the ambulance arrives and the medical team quickly attend to Grace, putting her in the stretcher.

"Call your brother and father and meet us at the hospital." My mom orders, not bothering to look at me. She gets into the ambulance and the doors close, leaving me at the house.

I make my way back into the house and do as I am told.

---

"How did she fall?" My dad asks me in the hospital waiting room. We have been waiting for hours.

Adam is sitting next to me, he hasn't spoken a word since he arrived.

"I already told you dad." I cross my arms. I had explained everything to them whenever we first arrived.

My dad ran his hands through his hair in fustration. "Tell me again." He took a deep breath.

I rolled my eyes. "That doll that Grace recieved on her birthday has been alive this whole time. It's been tormenting me the past couple of weeks." I say and point to my nose and scratched up arms.

"It's the one that pushed Grace out of her window." I add.

My dad gives me a saddening look and takes a seat at the end of the row, away from me. "Dad you-" I stand up.

"Stop." Adam interrupts and pulls my arm to sit me back down. "He's upset, just leave him." My brother whispers.

"I'm upset too Adam." I narrow my eyebrows. "He doesn't believe me. But maybe if you tell him you believe that the doll is alive too, he will understand." I quickly say.

"Are you Grace Wilson's family?" A nurse comes out from the hallway. "Yes, is she okay?" My dad instantly stands up.

"You can see her now." The nurse replies. Adam and I both glance at each other before following my father to Grace's hospital room.

We walk in and see my mom sitting in the chair beside the bed. Her hands are in her lap and her eyes are still watering.

I look to the bed and my little sister's face is bandaged up and swollen. Her entire body is covered up under the white blanket. My dad's eyes start to tear up when he looks at her.

"Oh God, Grace." Adam shakily says and kneels down by her bed.

I stand back in the corner of the room, remembering the scene of the wicked doll laughing and pushing her out of the window.

"She has a concussion and alot of her bones are broken." My mom sobs.

"How did this happen to my baby." She buries her face into her hands and begins to cry some more.

I open my mouth to speak but then Adam glares at me.

"Hey, Jay. Can I talk to you out in the hall?" My brother asks, or more like demands as he walks towards the door. "Oh, sure." I awkwardly reply and look back to my mother and father, who aren't even paying attention to us. I follow my brother out, quietly closing the door behind us.

"Now tell me what really happened." He says in a serious tone, his green eyes are boring into my hazel ones. I narrow my eyebrows. "How many times do I have to repeat myself Adam. I told you and dad what happened already twice!" I harshly say and turn back to open the door back to Grace's hospital room.

"We aren't done yet." He stands in front of the door and stops me. "What do you want me to say Adam?" I groan, I'm so fustrated already. "I told you that I went to check up on our little sister and the doll was already in the room, standing behind her while she was on the edge of her open window."

"And then what happened?" He urges as he looks around the hallway to make sure no one is hearing us. "And then it looked at me with those wicked eyes a-and-" I tried to continue but I felt my eyes watering. "That evil, wide, smile." I choked out as a couple of tears escaped my eyes. Just the image of that sinister grin scared me to no end.

"Don't cry, sis. It's gonna be okay, really. What happened after you saw the face?" He placed his hands on my shoulders to stabilize me. I could barely keep myself up, my entire body ached everywhere.

"And then I tried to tell it to leave her alone but it just started laughing." I looked down yto the ground, remembering all the events. "And...?" Adam asked, his eyes fixed on mine. "That's when it pushed her out of the window." I finished and broke down on the floor crying my eyes out.

"Aw, Jay. Please don't cry sis. I believe you." He said as he kneeled down on the floor beside me. He tilted my head up. "Like I said before, everything is going to be alright in the end. Grace is going to recover so don't worry." He gave me a reassuring smile.

I wanted to believe him so badly but I couldn't ignore the feeling that things were only going to get worse.
