I wake up to the sound of shuffling. I open an eye, the girl from before was walking out the door, I watch closely as three men intercepted her path, unrelenting. She murmured something, the man merely smirked, then struck her cheek. He spoke, I was too far to hear, but what I knew was the noticeable rising temperature, a sign of the girl's rising rage.

I felt a twinge and stood up, quietly walking over, but I stop when she kicked him neatly in the jaw, sending some teeth flying. I smirk, putting my hands in my pockets. When the man's friends come to assist she just lept into the air, writhing in the air, landing strong kicks to both of their skulls.

When the onlookers gather the brawl is over, the only strike that had landed on the girl was the one to the cheek. I sadly wanted to burst out laughing, the men were pathetic, I don't think they'll even beat an untrained child. All my thoughts pause as the head walked up to the girl. He pats her on the back, saying something, then walked away.

The crowd dissipated, the girl walked away to a corner, sinking down. I slowly walk over, when she looks up from her knees her eyes were filled with tears, which she soon wiped away hastily with her back sleeve. She stood up, brushing her hair over her eyes, and looked at me, I could still see the faint tears in her eyes. I smile, a small effort to comfort her, stifling any actions for our own sake, she smiled back. She held her hand out to me.

"I'm Flare" She says silently, I could hear the strain in her voice, still trying to hold back tears.

I gently take her hand and shake it, "I'm Fyte"

"Nice to meet you, Fyte" She said, smiling at me. We walk back to the cabin. Out of the corner of my eye, I see her looking at me. The warm feeling in my chest arose, growing to a small flame. I blink mentally. What's this feeling?? I've never encountered it before.. Thoughts whirling around. When she looked back to the cabin I glance at her, I don't know why though..

I sit on my bunk, Flare climbing up onto the one above me. I stretch out, pulling my hood down. I stifle an annoyed sigh when my cyan hair fell into my eyes, I plop onto my side, looking up at the top bunk's bottom, my sight not effected my the dim lighting of the night. I close my eyes, I felt peaceful, whole, with these people around me. I ease into a dreamless sleep, which was just as peaceful.
