I woke early, like usual, and slid out of bed, i did a small head count: Doku, here. Teki, here. Flare.. not here. I looked over, the door was open, maybe she went outside?

I walk out the door, making no sound as I closed the door. I jump onto the wall easily, the guards were out cold, so there was really no need, but, i'm staying on the safe side. I slid off, landing with only a small sound of impact. A small shine came though the thin line of trees. I walk to it, hands in pockets.

What I come to see is a lake, shining under the moonlight, which is where I found Flare, her sleeve to her shoulder, looking at her forearm. When she heard my slight footsteps she quickly covered her arm again. She turned to look at me.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you?" she asked.

"Nope" I replied, yawning slightly due to having just woke up. Flare nodded slowly and looked back to the lake. I asked something, I damned my curiosity when i did..

"What was that on your arms? If you don't mind me asking" is what I asked, even when I knew the answer. She looked at the grass.

"They were scars.." she replied, looking at me to see my now worried gaze. Scars had always put me on edge due to past incidents.

"From what exactly?" I asked again, dammit, curiosity.. She hesitated the answer.

"My dad and his stupid belt.." she whispered, looking at the ground.

"I'm sorry.." I say silently, she turned to me and nodded her head.

"There's nothing to be sorry about, it wasn't your fault." she said. I looked away, finally realizing that I had asked too personal stuff, Dammit.. soon curiosity will be the death of me.. The sun started to rise. She stood up and looked at me. I looked back over to her.

"We better start making our way to camp." She yawned. I merely nodded and we both walked to camp.
