On November 7, their fifth extended play titled The Code with title track "Dramarama" was released.
On the day of the album release, MONSTA X COMEBACK SHOW-CON was hold at Changchun gymnasium.
Following this on November 14, 2017, they won their first music broadcast award through SBS MTV's The Show, with "Dramarama".
