Aria's POV
It's Wednesday night. Four more days until our big trip and I'm already buzzing, a mix of being nervous and excited at the same time. It kind of made me sad too, three whole months without my boyfriend. But oh well, I'd rather spend three months with my friends than to spend it alone at home since he was going away for the summer too.
Right now, I'm with Scott and some of his friends, we had just arrived at the party. I told the gang I'd just meet them here since I was hanging out in Scott's place anyways.
"I'm gonna go get some drinks with Daniel." Scott shouts at my ear over the music and I just nod in understanding as he leaves with his friend.
I was now left alone with Alec, another of Scott's friends. In their trio, Alex was known to be the bad boy but he was rather sweet towards me. Guess it was a perk of dating his best friend.
"Let's go find somewhere to sit, we don't want Scott to get mad at me for making his princess stand for too long." He winks before grabbing and wrist and leading the way around the house.
I just playfully roll my eyes. It's been a running joke between the four of us that Scott has been too protective of me. I couldn't blame them though, there is some bits of truth towards it. Whenever I would need to work on something with another guy for some class, he'd always want to be there. If he wasn't available, he'd make one of his friends be there. I didn't mind, I knew he was just concerned.
We found the living room where the couches were. It was pretty crowded, of course some people were already sitting on the couch but after Alec tells them to 'make some room' the people sitting first were gone within seconds.
"I'm not that fat you know? Some people could've still stayed and sat down." I say, rolling my eyes.
"Well it wouldn't be too comfortable being squeezed in a sofa innit?" Alec replies, plopping down at the sofa beside me.
Scott and Daniel appear, handing us our drinks. Alec gets up and is replaced by Scott.
"I'm gonna go help Daniel get this chic from his class." Alec announces before leaving with Daniel who had an embarrassed and nervous look in his face.
"Here's your special drink. Are you sure you don't want any alcohol with that? C'mon it's our last party in the next three months, don't you want to let lose?" Scott asks.
I thought about it a little. The only reason why I stopped drinking was because when I'd get super drunk, I'd have weird dreams of calling Jon and telling him all the things I wouldn't dare to say in real life. But that was when he wasn't here and I was missing him. Since he is here now, maybe I'd stop getting those dreams?
"You're right." I smiled at him. "I might get something to drink later. But just a little, I still have that fundraiser tomorrow."
"Want me to help out?" He offers, grabbing my hand to intertwine our hands and slinging his other arm over my shoulder making me comfortably lean on him.
"No that's okay, you'll probably still have a massive hangover from all the alcohol I project you'll be drinking tonight." I laugh.
He looks at me with an offended look on his face. "Are you trying to imply that I have a drinking problem?"
"Oh no, it's not a drinking problem." I say, rolling my eyes playfully. "People just keep handing you drinks and you think you're obliged to drink them all."
"You are totally right." He says, landing his lips on mine to give me a kiss before continuing his words. "But that won't stop me from spending as much time as I can with you before we both leave."
