The day we finally met
“ian bibili lang ako dun ah wait mo!” sigaw ng papalayong si vien sa best friend nitong si Ian
“sige!” sigaw rin na sagot niya a dalaga “ kumain nay yun kanina eh, kakain na naman?”
“ian!!” sigaw ng papalapit na si jarred
“jarred. Baket ba lahat nalang kayo sumisigaw? Di naman ako bingi.” Reklamo ng binata sa kaibigan
“hahaha sorry..teka? sino yung kasama mong babae kanina?”
“si vien , my bestfriend.” Sagot nya
“vien?!”
“why?, have you met her?”
“yeah. Remember the girl I told you with a beautiful and sweet smile?” litanya nya.
Hmmm.. I think…
“yes?” parang may idea na sya
“I finally found her.!” Masigla sabi nya
“let me guess? It’s vien.” Siguradong sabi nya
“yeah! Bro, at best friend mo pa pala sya..what a coincidence” masayang sabi ni jarred.
Matagal na nyang hinahanap ang dalaga. Simula ng araw na makilala nya to.
“San bang lupalot ng iskwehalang ito makikita tong department na to?”
“hoy teh…dalian mo malelate tayo sa ginagawa mo eh” sabi ng isang babae sa di kalayuan
“oo eto na nga eh, lagi kang rush!?” sagot naman nung isa
Di nya alam kung bakit may oras pa syang makinig sa usapan ng dalawang babae, eh kaylangan na rin nyan magmadali dahil mahuhuli na rin sya so morning class nya.
‘baka alam nila kung saan yung building na ‘to. ‘ nilapitan nya yung babaeng pinagmamadali ng kasama nito.
“ah miss. Pwedeng magtanong? pano puntahan tong department na to?” then he gave her his sweetest smile that no woman could resist. But to his disbelief, the lady just stares at him.
“hmmm,diretsohin mo lang yang daan na yan then turn left katabi lang yan ng gym.” Sabi ng dalaga
“ ok, thanks” he look at her and to his surprise, she smile at him. He was dumfounded, she just gave him the sweetest smile he had ever seen and it took his breath away.
“bye” sabi ng dalaga
“bye” sabi nya ng makalayo na ito sa kanya and unconsciously waved at her.
Then he unconsciously put his arm to his chest. And when he realize what he was doing , he immediately put his arm away,
“sh*t what am I doing.” He looked at his wristwatch “urgh!! I’m late” and he ran towards the direction that the lady told him.
“earth to jarred!” sabay batok dito.
“ah!.. yes! It’s her” he said while smiling
Masama to..sabi ni ian sa sarili
“jarred. Iba nalang.” It was a command rather that a statement
“why? You have a thing for her?” he said calmly though he was irritated the way he said those.
“ I don’t have.. I’m her bestfriend period. I know you red.. I don’t want her to be hurt. If you’re not serious with her, just stop.”
“ I’m serious, dead serious. You know me enough Ian. And those rumors that I’m a playboy, are just rumors. Mabait lang talaga ako especially to girls hehe kaya na mi misinterpret nila ako,”
“I know..hahaha sineryoso naman nito. What is your plan? But I’m warning you, mess with her and you will mess with me.” He said seriously
“yes boss! Got that. Of course I want to be friend first, I don’t want to rush her.”

“ian!” Malakas na tawag sa kanya ni vien habang papalapit sa kanila
