Chapter 3 Murray Hill

Erica's P.O.V

I socked Ben in the stomach I felt one of his ribs crack and then he backed away clutching his stomach. He looked at me in a way he has never before, and I recognized it immediately, betrayal he then stormed off into the hallway. You did what you had to. A firm hand grabbed my shoulder. I felt a pain In my heart for the second time in my life but this time it was me who caused the pain. I took off my grandpa's hand and gave him a smile."Yes I did grandpa and made me feel alot better." I turned away and trailed Ben into the hallway.

He was turning the key in his door. "Ben-" I said, but was cut short as he entered the room. I felt even worse than before and now wanted to cry and sulk in his arms. No. I shouldn't be thinking about these things. Not now.

Ben's P.O.V

The recording suddenly stopped and the captain of the plane announced. "We will arrive at destination in 45 minutes. The recording suddenly began to play again. "Join us Ben we know you are special we could use you, plus If you say no your girlfriend would not be pleased." I suddenly stopped.

 "If your thinking we are controlling Erica were not." the recording continued reading every thought that popped up into my head. "think about how the C.I.A. has treated you unfairly how you saved the government and they still aren't please how Erica will never like you." The name lingered in the air for a moment and then continued. "We have enough money to support you and your family for a lifetime and girl you would sure like." suddenly a voice spoke not Murray's but a female voice. It spoke so soothingly that I thought it was fake "Ben? are you here? OK yes, you are my names Aiemuil I'll see you then Ben" she said suavely.

The recording burned out its circuits and stopped playing. I got out of the shower grabbed my pajamas and slipped them on. I unlocked the bathroom door and stepped outside. "Hey" Erica's voice indicated that she was on the right of me I looked right and saw Erica's sitting on my bed "What are you doing her?" I asked her angrily between clenched teeth. "I know your angry because of me but if just let me explain-" "Explain!?" I yelled "You don't have to EXPLAIN to me!" I said the anger that's been in me suddenly sparked "You have no idea how much pain you have caused me!"

My voice broke between words. Pouring out all the terrible ways she treated me and did to me. How she always was cold to me no matter how hard I tried to be kind to her finally my voice broke. I wanted to cry like a little kid who just lost his parents but I was to busy thinking in my head about the deal. I sat at the corner of the room.
