Anya's P.O.V.

We were planning a heist and in my opinion it would be much more difficult than a kidnapping. During the kidnapping there had been much more room for human error in guarding the subject since the person kept moving and had needs. A heist had less room for human error, the object could be left in one place, surrounded by impenetrable security systems for an indefinite period of time. Now add to that that we wouldn't be able to hit all our targets at once. After the theft of the ledgers they'd move the money to different locations or triple security at the original locations, either way we'd never be able to rob more than two cash houses at best and we didn't have the man power to hit them all at once and thin out Richard's forces. Safe to say that as the unofficial planner I was under some strain to devise a plan.

"Anything yet?" Julian walked into the office serving as a planning room, carrying two cups of coffee.
"No." I snapped failing to notice the support in the form of caffeine.
"No need to get grouchy." Julian set the coffee on the table.
"Grouchy? Is that what you think this is?" I ignored the taunting smell of coffee.
"Not at this moment no but please enlighten me." I could see that Julian was loosing a bit of face and his slightly sarcastic tone didn't help my mood.
"You know what, forget it. I have a heist to plan." I looked back down at the schematics of he Freeman estate.
"No, tell me what you meant. You're the one who brought it up."
"Okay. You want to know what bothers me. Try this on for size. I'm here planning to rob a dangerous man and you're all just lounging around as if it's a normal day in Paradise!" I struggled to keep my voice in check.
"Well. You sure didn't have any reservations about kidnapping that man's daughter." Julian snapped.
"That isn't the point..." I didn't get time to finish my sentence.
"No sure not. Your point is that you're doing all the work while we're lounging on beach chairs sipping nice cold pinacolades from coconuts."
"If you'd just listen to me!" I shouted, frustration making me want to bang his head against the wall.
"No. Here I was worrying about keeping you alive. Trying to think of some way to break the news to the Boss without getting either of us killed!"
"I never asked you tell the Boss. Heck I never asked for this life."
"You didn't have to. I was just the selfish bastard who dragged you into this life. I guess I just thought it fair that I at least make it less stressful."
"Less stressful? Don't make me laugh. I was a law student, devoting all my time to cramming book after book of laws, loopholes and procedures into my head and now? Now I have to break every law that I had to worship. Do you really think that you're doing me a favor by telling the Boss, by officially making me part of this criminal Orginization?" I let out a rueful laugh.
"Either way there is no way out of this. Clive wasn't sent here because we were short handed. If you leave we'll all be dead by the morning and if you stay and he somehow gets wind of your true nature then we're all still dead."
He was right, I knew that. I just felt drained, so I left.
"Since you've got everything figured out, why don't you plan this heist?"
I walked out of the room and was halfway up the stairs when Julian caught up.
"We're not done here, Anya."
I just kept walking, straight to the room that was mine and yet wasn't at the same time. I knew Nicolette was using it but I needed some solitude and I wasn't going to find it in any other place.
"Anya." Julian grabbed my arm and I spun around.
"Do you think I don't know that I can't leave?! Do you really think I'm that stupid?"
"I never said that."
"No, you just thought that I was naïve enough to help you kidnap a minor, rob a few cash houses and then still expect that I could go back to the apartment I shared with an action movie fanatic. You may have me trapped here, but nobody ever forced me to help you guys. I chose to help you, even after I knew beyond any shadow of a doubt that my action would make me a criminal..."
"Then what is..." Julian began, much calmer than before.
"Let me finish!" I shouted cutting him off, "I'm not stressed about the lawbreaking. I'm worried about you guys. Heaven knows if my plan isn't full proof including a plan B all the way through to Z you guys could get killed. All you have to do is memorize it and follow through with it. I have to think up any and every possible way it could go wrong no matter how absurd."
"I would never have guessed that you'd come to care about us this much."
"Well I do. You idiots dug into my heart and I hate you for it." I turned around to close the door of the room, effectively ending the argument, before I could follow through with the action Julian grabbed my hand again and held me back. I stopped and waited for him to say or do something, but I could see that it had been impulse and that he hadn't thought it through. Surprising even myself I took a step closer and kissed him. He stiffened for a moment, this was our second kiss and the first one form my initiative. He settled his hands on my hips and moved closer. He deepened the kiss with urgency, In the back of our minds was the reminder that we might be interrupted at any moment. I tangled my fingers in his already messy hair. His hands trailed up my waist tugging my blouse up. I pulled it off over my head completely, tossing it into a corner. He lowered me to the bed never stopping his kisses trailing down my collarbone.

I lay with my eyes open, sunlight filtered in through the window. My body was cold and I sank further back into Julian. His arm automatically tightened around my waist. I concentrated on his bare chest rising and falling rhythmically against my bare back. I remembered out argument the previous night and despite of laying completely naked in the arms of a criminal, I have never felt safer in all my live. I turned around to face him. He looked so peaceful almost like a child, a surge of affection washed through my veins. How had h ever thought that I would want to leave? I placed a gentle kiss on his lips. This is my knight in shining armour or rather my gang leader in a waistcoat.

Our tranquillity was suddenly disturbed by a bright flash. I was surprised that it hadn't happened sooner, that we hadn't been interrupted last night during our argument.
"Aww. How cute." Kevin exclaimed before hurdling out of the room, cackling.
Julian groaned something sounding very mush like, I am going to get you.
I smiled broadly. Untangling myself from Julian so he could catch up with Kevin. He barely managed to pull on his pants before exiting the room after Kevin. Jason came santuring in.
"You were loud last night." He stated with no expression to indicate if he meant the argument or the aftermath. I didn't really care, I chuckled to myself and it quickly morphed into laughter. Of all the places I could have found happiness this was where I ended up, amongst this band of misfits called a gang.
