chapter 8 - Changing Rye

I suddenly felt myself waking up from a really bad nightmare but I died and came back somehow. Alex probably used his angel powers, which can heal humans and other angels. I realised all my friends were here with me, hugging me tightly, Hey babe Rye called out to me. Alex said "everyone let Brook rest, he needs it" as I looked over to see Rye holding our daughter in his arms, smiling at it, which made me smile.

Rye handled the baby over to Alex who was laid next to me. Hey Brook, would you change me into an angel if that's possible he whispered. The thing was I didn't know what to say. Oh Rye, it is possible but it's a horrible thing to go though. Alex then said "it's up to you, Rye" he gave me a smile.

I got up off the bed and said "Alex take my daughter out the room she doesn't want to see this". He nodded while I whispered to Rye, at you sure it can take up too 2 hours to change you, then you wake up, you will feel sick, and maybe feel different but that's normal. I have to put you to sleep. Alex walked back into the room, are you ready I asked both off them. Ready as you are Rye said softly.

I had to distract Rye because he doesn't like needles. Alex beings the tray over with everything on it and injected Rye in the arm, as I noticed he was falling asleep straight away. Which was good. Then Rye was asleep, I had to bite him 5 times, inject him with 20 needles and have to kill him.

First I had to mix some eye colour liquid into the glass. I wanted to pick a color that would suit Rye, I think bright green. Yes that would suit him I heard Alex speak. I spoke Alex could you open Rye's eyes please while I inject them with this eye colour. I felt bad for Rye but he wanted to become an Angel.

Wait Alex, come here please as he walked over to me, what's up he said. I replied look at this, tell me what you think, as we both looked down at Rye's body, he was shirtless because I have to bite him. We noticed his body was sparking, he was warm to touch. It was working.

1 hour passed and Rye was still asleep. Another hour to go, Alex left the room to go get something from the kitchen. As he brough me a sandwich and a drink, thanks babe I whispered. He smiled before making sure I was OK.

I sat there staring into space. What's wrong babe, he whispered. I just ignored him and carried on eating, I was so hungry. Is it working I spoke as Rye's body started burning up, he was sweating, and his back was bleeding as it was running onto the duvet. Great as I said "Alex we need to turn Rye over, now"

I tried to stop the bleeding as I placed a towel over his back. We also had to put a towel under his body, to caught any blood that will run down.

*2 hours later*

I noticed Rye's eyes started to open, they did look sort. His eyes were red and swollen, but managed to open them. What happened? He began to talk. Shhh it's OK, I turned you into an angel, and it's all done.

All the bites were gone and Rye looked down his body. I was laid next to him to make sure he was OK, all off a sudden Rye grabbed my hand and placed it on his chest and smiled at me. I looked over at Alex who looks scared. Hey, Alex I'm doing this because Rye is my best friend, don't worry I'm not dating him.

I suddenly felt fireworks go though my body, this feeling was different, I have never felt like this before. Rye was different from everyone else.
