SeokJin's POV

I've recently gotten transferred to this new human school, since my secret was out in my old school. Those dumb creatures were too Idiotic and believed that I was human here.

Truth is, I'm a vampire. I'm not ashamed of it, it's quite the opposite really. I'm proud to be one, I get to corner people in allies and suck their blood.

Everyone thinks that I enjoy drinking human blood, but honestly I don't. I don't like seeing their faces in pain, I don't like seeing them run away, I don't like seeing them scared of me, but I also don't like dying.

So I drink blood, I can't help it. I've been abounded by my parents in a dark alley when I was two, they simply wanted a female vampire but got me instead so they threw me away.

I learnt to just grow on my own and trick people. I learnt that all creatures aren't friendly, I simply stopped trusting people.

I've made some friends here at the new school, just cause I didn't want to seem so dark and mysterious. They'd come in handy later anyways, if you know what I mean.

We had an assignment and I got paired with my closest friend here, Mark, I'd call him my best friend but I'm really just using him for my reputation.

He invited me over to his house after school to work on the assignment so here I am, in-front of his house for the assignment.

I rung the bell once and waited for a second, I heard muffled yelling in there.

"OPEN THE DOOR YOU DUMB GIRL!" Is what I heard, but I could be wrong. So I'll pretend that I heard nothing.

I heard footsteps come closer to the door before it opened, a girl stood in front of me.

"H-hello, I'm Y/N. My b-brother's inside, c-come on in." She said in a low voice,stuttering, as she moved aside to let me in.

She was kind of cute, not to mention her scent, if there were other vampires near here, they'd attack her at the first chance they get. Good that I know how to control myself.

I walked into the house and saw Mark sitting on a couch in the living room, that was connected to the kitchen.

Their house was pretty big, I must admit, just as big as my-

"Hey Jin, how are you dude?" Mark said as he bro hugged me.

"Good good, lets get this assignment finished now." I said with a slight smile on my face, trying not to sound too impatient and rude.

Then we started working for an hour straight. I started getting tired and I didn't feel like going back to my incredibly small apartment.

"Hey dude, listen could I stay here tonight? I hope your parents don't mind." I asked.

"Yeah sure, i'll just go check with my mom, be right back. Hey Dumbass, serve him some water!" He yelled the last sentence before he left.

I heard foot steps near me before an arm was extended in-front of my face with a cup of water in her hand.

I took the water from her, placing it on the table in front of me.

"Thank you." I thanked her.

She smiled.

I smiled back.

An actual smile.

This is the first time I've smiled a true smile since four years, and it was all because of her smile, her smile made me smile.

I need that girl. Everything I need, I get. Everything I need, I protect. I would choose her over anyone, even if it was from the closest people in my life.

"WHY ARE YOU STILL STANDING THERE YOU ASS?! GO AWAY!" Mark yelled as he pushed her to the ground, pulling me out of my thoughts.

I quickly ran to her side and helped her up.

"Are you ok?" I asked her.

"Yes it's fine, I'm used to it" she said.

"Used t-" I was about to question.

"WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?! GO I SAID!" He yelled once again.

I walked over to Mark, face to face, so close. I looked him in the eye and growled.

"Don't you dare yell or touch her again, you hear me?" I threatened.

"Even if I don't, my parents will do." He said smirking, but behind that smirk I could see fear. Pfft, humans.

"Well, I wanna see them try." I challenged.

"Listen dude, let's just finish this assignment. You could stay the night on the couch, end of the discussion." He said as he sat back down and pulled the things we were working on.
