I grab my suitcase and shiver. England is freezing in comparison to the warm Italian sun. I quickly walk out of the airport and search for a cab. But before I know it there are flashes everywhere. I blink a few times but it doesn't help as more flashes follow. They make me feel slightly dizzy in the head and I'm almost blinded by them. I quickly push my way through some people, my heart beating quickly. Soon I can breath again when I push myself past the paparazzi. I quickly rush over to a cab and jump in, pushing my suitcase next to me.
'Manchester hospital please,' I say between gasps of air. What was that all about? Oh of course, I'm famous too now. How could I ever have dealt with them in the past three years? I wish I could remember. I sigh and look at the passing buildings and people. What a day. It doesn't take us long to arrive at the hospital and I give the driver some money before getting out.
I look at the building in front of me for a moment. This is where all the trouble started. I think I've been in this building for over 2 weeks, but they're all a bit blurry so I'm not sure. I take my phone out of my bag and unlock it. 17:24 It says. Just in time. I ignore the texts I have from Harry and walk into the hospital.
Just when I'm about to sit down in one of the chairs in the waiting area, my name is called. I stand up again and awkwardly take my suitcase with me. The other waiting people in the room are looking at me strangely. Uncomfortably I look at myself. I'm wearing a beige dress with tights and a warm brown woollen cardigan, black boots and of course the necklace I found in my room. I haven't taken it off since, somehow it gives me a comfortable feeling.
I walk into the doctor's room and sit down in one of the chairs. Only seconds later the doctor walks in and shakes my left hand awkwardly. He guides me to an examination table on which I have to sit. He examines my head, my ribs and lastly my arm. He writes some things down and I impatiently wait for the results.
'So Kate,' He starts, 'I think it's safe to say you can use your arm again. Just be careful.'
My eyes wideopen of happiness and a grin forms on my face. Finally! I take the sling off and give it back to the doctor. We shake hands and before I know it I'm standing outside of the hospital again. Astonished I look at my right hand and stretch all my fingers. It doesn't hurt at all, only feels a little uncomfortable. I make circles with my shoulder, happy that the heavy weight of my arm is finally gone.
Grabbing my suitcase, I hold a cab and get in. Harry texted me the address of their house and I tell the cab driver. They just finished their tour and have a small break before working on their new album. That's why management hired a house for them in the centre of Manchester. I just hope it's paparazzi free.
After only 15 minutes the cab slows down in front of a row of houses. I pay him and get out with my suitcase in my right hand. Doing everything with my left hand the past weeks was extremely exhausting.
I walk to a door saying number 28C and gape at it for a while. It's a massive house with three floors and I can't believe my brother lives in it. I've seen how famous they are at the concert, but still it's hard to accept. I quickly glance around me but fortunately there are no paparazzi here. I turn around again and face the black oak door. I sigh and ring the bell once. I fiddle with the necklace as I nervously wait for someone to open the door. I haven't seen the boys in two weeks and am afraid they're still mad. I know I had good reasons but I should have never left them so worried.
I'm interrupted in my thoughts when the door swings open. In the opening stands Harry with a gigantic grin on his face.
'You look great, come in!' He chirps while pulling me inside. I'm met by a big white hall way with light brown carpet on the ground. The walls are all empty which is logical as it's only rented for a certain amount of time. Harry walks past me and pulls me into another room, leaving the suitcase in the hallway.
