[Luke's POV]

Waking up to evil, screeching laughter and the sound of metal parts being thrown into the sand isn't exactly the easiest way to return from unconsciousness...

"Wha," is all I manage to say before a great howling moan is echoed throughout the canyon, spooking each and every single one of the raiders. They scurry off, and by that time I really get a chance to open my eyes. "Aura?" I shout, waiting for a response. All I get in return is some frantic beeping from Artoo as he approaches, along with a stranger.

"Don't worry, he'll be all right," assured the stranger.

"What happened?" I say as the man kneels down and touches my forehead with his hand. Something about his touch was reassuring.

"Rest easy, son, you've had a busy day. You're fortunate you're still in one piece!" He replies, getting off his knees and back to his feet. I sit up and squint, trying to manage a good look at his face. "I think we better get indoors. Sandpeople are easily startled, and they will soon be back and in greater numbers," he reaches for my arm and helps me to my feet. He begins to lead the way to what I assume is his house, but before we even start the journey:

"Wait! There was someone else with me!" I frantically search the terrain around me for the girl.

"Someone else? Could he have been taken by the raiders?" The stranger asks.

"No...she is way smarter than that," I respond. I walk a few steps closer to the rocky ledge where I once fought a raider, and there she was.

Her body was in between my battle site and the gorge where Artoo hid. I ran to her, my head still pounding.

Is she okay?
Is she hurt?
Is she dead?

I feel the presence of a follower as the stranger traced my footprints to where I am now, hovering over the limp body of my friend. I kneel down at once and turn her body so she is on her back. I hear a gasp come from the stranger behind me, and he immediately slides his hands behind her back and knees, lifting her up.

"We have to get to my dwelling now," he shouts at me. I don't understand his sudden concern and rush, but I do know that we have to make sure Aura is okay. We meet back up with Artoo, who beeps at Threepio. The man-like droid is clearly hurt, so I help him to his feet before following the stranger to his home.

This will either be a new beginning for my journey or the complete end...

Sorry this is short AGAIN! I haven't updated in about 10 months so I felt like you all needed this. I know its taking a while for the story to pick up, and I'm sorry. I want your opinion, though: Do I keep using exact lines from the script or should I just paraphrase and do my own thing? Let me know in the comments PLEASE!! Anyway, Enjoy!
