TIME
My teacher says
Time always ticks at the same speed
But I don't believe it...
In class the clock tocks so slowly
Breaktime never seems to come
But playtime...
Races
Flies so fast
2 seconds - it's gone in a flash!
My teacher says
That's impossible. Time ticks at the same speed.
The days before my birthday time drags,
I toss and turn in bed
Picture presents, cake, in my head
And on the day...
Hurray!
Cards, Presents
Party -
Friends - Games -
Gone
And the birthday day is over.
My teacher says
That's just silly. Time ticks at the same speed.
It doesn't explain - when I'm out with my mates
Hanging
Kicking
Taking it easy
Time skips past
But sad news - bad news slows my world right down
I want it to be over – finished
Back the way things were,
Not stuck in the hours' that feel like days...
My teacher says
Nothing has changed. Time ticks at the same speed
But I'm still not sure I believe it...!
