The water has always been part of me
It sways and moves so freely
I move in accordance
I move slowly
But sometimes I get so excited to be
Apart of this sea
The oceans beauty ponders me
As I watch us move rhythmicallySometimes we go to fast
And my heart feels like it will blast
Sometimes we go to slow
And I feel like I'm supposed to be
In sync with the flow
But I get so excited and I can't
I feel like the ocean is free spirited like me
And if it had feet it would explore
The world beyond the shore
It wouldn't be stuck in the flow it would be past the shore
To forest past and farther then thatThat night we all were so still
Unmoving unchanging
Not as the sea should be
My mother had told me that the waves were wild and free
And that we had the fun job compared to the trees
The trees were stuck all day in the ground
Not able to move of change
But to me, the trees bring beautyThey bring the animals and help them to feed
They provide Berry's, nuts and seeds for all the animals to eat
They protect the earth by standing proudly and free
Able to move in wind and breath in
All the beauty's of the land
All of its tranquility and peaceMy mother told me how fun it was to be in the waves
But as I grew I could see nothing but pain
We have a life filled of orders and we can never do what we want
We are stuck as the waters slave
The water demands that we become a moving sea
And gives us orders which we must always obeyOne night I became so lonely craving the touch of the land and sniff of the air
I wanted to be up there
On the land as more then a slave
But a free nymph with hope
And with freedom
So in the still of the night
With no plight I broke free of the waters ranks
And made my way towards the shore
To become a nymph in human formI splashed on the land
And put my body back together
I felt like I was free
From the seas tyranny
And I felt amazing being in that form
So that I could stretch my legs and feel the earths dirt beneath my feet
I felt my face hit the sand and the rest of my body on the land
I wanted to get up and see the forest before meI pushed myself off the ground but fell back down
I felt numb I wasn't use to this kind of control
I've never worked with arms and legs
But I finally stood up and learned the ways
I caught the eyes of a girl on the sand
She had green hair and brown eyes
Her skin was light brown with patch's of gray
And she had a tiny frameShe held my gaze scared and afraid
I held it with the same emotions
I didn't know what to make of this girl in a dress of bark
But her eyes met mine and I felt free
