Life is so unfair
I'm doomed by the land never to touch the air
Life has cursed me to be forever stuck as an unmoving tree
I sit all day watching the water play games that only the water can
And slump here black and brown
Sewn into the groundLife is so unfair
For even when I'm not stuck as a tree all day
I will die if touch the waves
Nymphs most stay with there kind
Waves with waves and trees with trees
I'm cursed with these thoughts swimming in my mind
And all night I watch the waves pass byMy mother said we have the easy job
We just sit still and sleep as logs
She says the waves have it harder
They can never stop to breath or stretch there legs they are cursed as the seas slaves
Doing only what the sea wants never stopping
Never having any funSo I continue to sit and stare night and day
As a tree stuck to far away
For months I sit at night and watch it shift and change and days I stand as the earths slave
Providing everything the animals need
Nuts Berry's and seeds
One night the sea was so still
Until a shift broke its seal
It struggled and wrestled against the waves
Until it came into the sand and washed away"How strange?" I whispered from feet away
Then a man appeared where that wave had crashed and my body froze to the sandy shore
I shook with fear and drew small breaths as the man gasped and took no rest
He attempted to push himself off the ground
Only to fall like a clownHe attempted two more times before succeding and when he stood that's when he saw me
Our eyes met and his body froze
Both of us afraid
And both of us in the moonlight glow
He gave me a strange look and I did the same
The man was blue meek and of small frame
His hair was as dark as the night skyHe was strange looking and said nothing to me
Just stood feet away with no glee
I said nothing to him just sat and stared
We only stood on the sandy shore in the frozen air.
