SETTING- where your story takes place
You settting is baisically the image your readers will be expecting most of the time. When your deciding, think if you want the setting to have a major or little impact on the story.
ex) The Wizard of Oz withought Oz would be... a girl and her dog in plain old Kansas. Fun.
Ask yourself these questions when planning:
1. Where does your story take place? -on mars, in Atlantis, Bikinie Bottom etc.
2. When does your story take place? -past, present, or future?
3. How much does your setting affect your main character's problem?
*It's good to draw an image of your setting to get the image stuck in your head. But if you use for an example Candy Land, it would be best if you took out the different things:
ex) candy land: lolly pop trees, gummy bear people, candy cane street lights etc. But what you dont want: candy land: lolly pop trees, vampire people, nail polish paint. It just doesn't match.
