When Yoongi returns home Hoseok is sitting cross legged at the coffee table, reading some unknown book probably recommended by Kim Namjoon who often referred to both of them great literary works in order to inspire their work, He had been contentedly poking at a plate of melon cubes on the table with his fork whilst another lay dormant against the edge of the plate, Noticing the presence in the room before the sound of the door closing even entered his ears he peered up at Yoongi "You came back" he starts, Yoongi standing in place at the door unmoved "Did you find inspiration?" he tries this time only to be met by the mans still unmoving gaze "What's wrong?" Subtly tapping at the sleeping form in his lap he slowly moves to stand, half faking a numb limb from the awkward position when he is finally met with the older man's voice "Nothing." he deadpans before moving to the bedroom, his belongings in tow, slinging them down and swiftly changing into a fresh jacket from their shared wardrobe and exiting the apartment once more from the door that neither of the two had bothered to shut from the shock of the brief moment they had exchanged. Hoseok tries not to think too much into things as the hours pass, knowing something was off anyway it wasn't worth questioning painfully until his phone buzzes from the table and he answers to a distressed and unfamiliar voice. "Hello?" the voice on the phone who knows his name from his contacts comes back less discordantly and calmly speaks "I'll be on my way now." Hanging up Hoseok collects his jacket and heads to the direction of the man who had spoken to him on the phone. Arriving at his destination Hoseok enters the bar he had been given coordinates for and notices a man vaguely resembling Yoongi slumped over a table seemingly haven't fallen asleep in place. Offering a court apology to the surrounding public he nudges Yoongi by the arm and tries to rouse him to consciousness "Hyung. Hyung, why have you drunk so much?" "May I ask? Are you Jung Hoseok?" a familiar voice comes from behind him, "Ah, yes that's me" he confirms almost unsure "A friend has drunk with him" the man nods "He told me to call you, here's his phone" the man motions towards Yoongi and extends his hand to Hoseok giving him the aforementioned device "Where is his friend? I should thank them surely" the man gives Hoseok a questioning look "He just left, didn't you see?" Hoseok makes an expression of confusion and quickly paces to the front of the bar in hopes of catching up to the man in question only to be met with the still night time air and no passers by.The next morning vibrations of sweet melody and music echo through the apartment and nudge Hoseok from his otherwise peaceful slumber, annoyed his precious time to relax after a night of worry and caring for Yoongi had been cut short. After some tossing and two fluffy pillows failing to block the attack of the melodies filling his ears Hoseok decides it's time to wake up and dresses before stepping slowly into the hallway as to not disrupt his Hyung's musical moment, listening tentatively from around the doorway he hears a small voice, Yoongi speaking to himself in a person's which is unusual to him, asking questions to the empty room as if it will surely hold the answer and tell him how his playing is sounding. Hoseok softly scuffs and leaves for work. Spending the drive in silence and thoughtlessness he is only met with another form of life when he eases into his seat behind the control desk only for his cyber lover to materialise in the one across from him.
"Certainly he also has a cyber lover. Because of that time the bartender also touched his phone and mentioned some guy." Hoseok sits in quiet contemplation "Are you sure?" "Mhm." the smaller man offers before a small mischievous grin graces his lips "Actually, it's simple to check! You just need to check his phone" the man offers excitedly whilst Hoseok's expression falls into one of discontent. When Hoseok arrives home he is met by the sounds of running water, indicating his fellow resident is showering and encouraging his cyber lovers words from earlier to entice his curiosity to check for any trace of the all too familiar romance app on his hyungs phone. Slowly creeping past the doorway and over to the unit his ex-lovers side of the bed his shaky hand reaches out for the device which doesn't belong to him last efforts to hold himself back dissolving away rapidly before he snaps his neck off the the side in disappointment and pulls his hand away, leaving the device untouched, his curiosity unquenched but his morals intact as he hears the shower shutting off he sighs heavily before deciding to wait for the older man in the living area deciding if he is to find out anything he will have to do so the right way and just ask for the answers. The moment Yoongi approaches him on the couch and plonks himself down ungracefully Hoseok is on him, patience long faded away "Who was the guy with you the other night?" he stumbles on his words but gets it out in one go "Ah, a new song editor of my company.." Yoongi begins, catching himself before he seems too guarded "Yeah, uh, we have an appointment today to discuss the new song." Hoseok nods in agreement and hurriedly collects his jacket "Well, in that case let me drive you, alright?" He offers "No need, rarely you have a night off at the weekend. I'll go by taxi by myself" Hoseok considers his response but isn't inclined to act further "Come home soon." he offers as a resolve the older man already halfway out of the front door. Since Hoseok is already dressed and his mind won't take a break he decides to follow the man subtly behind the taxi in his car, making sure to keep a distance of at least two cars behind to maintain at least some air of being undetected by the man who is usually sharp and aware of his surroundings. Hoseok follows the taxi until he finds himself around the corner from a prestigious upcity hotel a pang of betrayal erupting inside his chest as he watches two men exist the formerly solo ridden taxi and enter the building.
"That must be his cyber lover!" the familiar voice of his own cyber lover calls from beside him in the passenger seat as they onlook. "Because we all touched his phone, Now we can see him." Hoseok considers himself for a moment, feeling his anger bubbling away at his usually residual facade making his reach for the door handle before a smaller hand is placed over his own, pulling his fingers from their hold on the handle "Hoseok! There's no point in going inside." the younger male offers, instead opening the passenger door and instructing Hoseok do the same, pulling him by his arm until they are linked and walking away from the building together. Hoseok gazed at the pathway in front of their feet as they walked.
"I always thought that I wouldn't pay attention.." he begins "It's good. At least no one owes the other." he finishes, the smaller male breaking off from his arm to wrap his own around Hoseok's waist, effectively back hugging the taller man as he reaches his head to lean on his shoulder "Don't be like that" he offers in comfort. Hoseok turns at his soft words, placing his hands either side of the cyber lovers face and giving his forehead a small peck, affectionately pouring warmth into the younger's eyes "it's a pity you're not a real person" he speaks softly, caressing the others face "So if there is some way for me to become a real person to be with you.. Do you want to try with me?" a small but confident voice comes. "Which way?" Hoseok playfully asks not exactly expecting there to be a real answer "Update the new version of the app!" the smaller hurriedly speaks this time "There is a new scanning function! It can use DNA of Min Yoongi. Apply his data to the formula and turn him into me." Hoseok goes cold at the words that ease out of the innocent man like honey, far too sweet for the surely bleak sounding suggestions he speaks "In other words.. Min Yoongi will be replaced by me. I will be with you. And Min Yoongi will become into me, becoming a cyber lover." At this Hoseok's hands fall from the mans face and he stumbles back in confusion, his face contorting into a frown as he shakes his head as if trying to expel the words him his memory."It's too mythical!" he disputes distancing himself slightly.
"It means you still choose him, Doesn't it? Even if he betrayed you!" the younger spits
"I betrayed him too." Hoseok resolves almost too calm for the situation unfolding about them frustration seeping from the smaller male as he approaches Hoseok and shakes at his hand "When will you understand eventually! The love he gives you, Is just in the imagination of you two! Besides, the one who he loves is you in the past, the you in those songs! He even only loves himself." The younger man growls in frustration disallowing tears to dance in his eyes like they usually would when he is overwhelmed in emotion, Hoseok hasn't seen him this worked up before reaching into his pocket to retrieve his phone, shutting down the anger the only way he perhaps really knows how before strong hands grasp his, his movement grinding to a halt as dark eyes met his "Hoseok. Think about it carefully. If so soon after he made it up with you why did he still find a cyber lover?" The question lingers in the air as do the sparkling remains of the younger man as he disperses out of vision leaving Hoseok by himself.
