Hoseok wakes up to a heavy chest and an empty bed.
The heaviness bubbling into the pit of his stomach and he relays the events from the previous day in his head. He decides to skip breakfast instead focusing on his morning routine and preparing to head to work, trying to entice his energy levels to heighten at such an unreasonably early hour at the promise of caffeine from the local pit stop on the way in. Upon arrival he shrugs his coat off and slumps into his chair, pushing his hair back off his face he releases a long and disgruntled sigh exhuming the remaining drowsiness from his voice in a vein attempt to sound much more like his energetic and charming self. Mentally prepared he slides the control on the mixer in an upward motion and hits the sequence he knows all too well by now.
"Good morning to everyone who is listening to the radio, Welcome and thank you for tuning in to listen to FM 52.0 Rainbow Radio today. I'm your MC J-Hope! Today I want to share with you a small discussion to get you thinking through your day, What is love? Will Ideals surely contradict with love? There's an answer within each of you but perhaps you're not sure, I also don't know the balance and where to stop. Today is the weekend, so then if you don't mind let's listen to a song first. To begin relaxation and thinking I like to recommend to you my favourite song of the moment 'Fall' Crush." With this Hoseok slides the mixer and removes his earphones allowing the listeners to receive the relaxing sounds of his first song of the day as he leans back into the chair with a disconnected gaze. The rest of the working day passes by in a haze, seemingly he maintains a decent level of professionalism even on autopilot, something which shouldn't come as much of a surprise in actuality since it has been something he had been doing a lot more lately. When Hoseok arrives home he is all too aware of himself and his surroundings when he is greeted by the unmoving organ still discarded across the floor it had destructively collided with the previous night. Hoseok steals a sour glance before decidedly taking off in the opposite direction, heading to his hollow kitchen if only to get out of eye shot of the damned instrument. He prepares a small supper for himself and sets down at the table removing his phone from his pocket to check for any notifications, any potential messages from Yoongi indicating that he is thinking about him when he finds himself however sliding his phone to back to lock screen disappointedly, coincidentally and very annoyingly when it begins to ping with excitement. Hoseok opens the message without hesitation only to be met with an audio message complete with attached link, scrunching his nose at the distasteful sight in front of him "Ah, it's just an app advertisement again" he sighs letting it play out, if only for lack of better thing to do.
"You are single, do you want a perfect lover?" The high pitched and extremely well marketed voice filters through the speaker as his fingers work to delete the annoyance. He pulls back up the message home screen, briefly typing out 'I'm worried, where are you now' in the conversation between himself and his absent lover. Hitting send he loses himself again in thoughts of the man in question, automatically recounting one of his most precious memories. The one he always reminisces the most of all. They had been walking through the hills they often visited together when one time he noticed his company hadn't been walking alongside him anymore. Hoseok had looked back in question at the man fixed to his spot, his eyes alive with emotions Hoseok didn't quite know how to pin point, they shared a moment holding eye contact before the static man shouted out to him.
"Jung Hoseok, I like you. I've liked you for a very long time." Hoseok shook himself from his memories and sighed heavily. "Hyung like that just doesn't exist anymore." he remind himself out loud, carrying on his thoughts to himself 'time is going by. Is it true that love will gradually disappear? Or is it between us, the thing that disappears is not love...It's the tolerance.' Hoseok sluggishly moves to tidy his unfinished plate when his phone buzzes immediately setting his plate back down he wistfully reads the message on the screen in hopes of news instead he is met by the now familiarised sound of the same squeaky advertisement woman reading the messages as they appear on screen, Hoseok hovering his thumb over the delete option "Are you lonely?" He halts, his attention caught by the one word alone, 'lonely' he curiously allows the messages to carry on, the voice annotating aloud
"Pick up a cyber lover quickly to give you a romantic and sweet day! Click here to download iHeart app" Hoseok scoffed to himself.
"Huh, it's a game? Ok, let's have a try." He opens the App Store and is greeted by the app in question it's preview image no less than his expectations of a handsome or adorable looking animesque character adorning something cheesy like a rose or some chocolates, besides wasn't he often told he himself could be cheesy anyway? He hits the download button, silently impressed by how fast the data had loaded and launched onto his screen, greeting him with both male version or female versions. "Male version" Hoseok stated like it had been fact to humanity. Cycling through the potential options for his new 'cyber lover' he is met by a handsome looking character with fluffy hair, evaluating his sense of style he notices the characters prop is an instrument and scoffs in displeasure "Ah, Playing the piano again? So bothersome!" Hoseok slides past and feasts his eyes on a petite character with a pretty eye smile and charming fashion.
"Oh, this is not bad. I'll pick you" his lips finally curl even if the slightest bit upwards as he finalised his decision. "So I'll call you Jimin." He pays the fee presented on the screen and confirms one last time, the persistent app instantly presenting him with a notice:
'Notice: This app is in the trial period. Time for trial period is 30 days. Please remove it in time. If you break the time limit take responsibility for the consequence by yourself.'
"Huh, Talking like it's real." With this Hoseok clicks his phone off and tidies the apartment before deciding he better clean himself off too. Leaving his phone on his bedside he steps into his bathroom to prepare to shower.Hoseok finds himself feeling relieved as the cool streams of water washing over his face seem to take his troubles with it descending down his sculpted body and into the drain, satisfied when he is clean enough shutting off the water and wrapping his towel around his waist favouring a second, smaller towel to place over his hair to give it a rough dry as he steps outward into his bedroom, muscle memory leading him through the threshold of the door whilst his line of vision is blocked. "Master!" Hoseok jumps back in surprise when he is met with the sudden appearance of a stranger in his bedroom accompanied by an almost robotic voice.
"Cyber lover 'Jimin' is at your service, Master!" The petite male offers a bright smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he lets out a small giggle at his 'master's' exasperated expression "Who are you!" Hoseok is in disbelief as the smaller male approaches towards him.
"Get away from me!" Hoseok lunges towards the man in question to avoid his hug assault but instead pushes right through the man, much alike to over dramatised ghost movies when apparitions move through walls he crashes into the counter from the power he had put into his attempt to push the mysterious man out of the way, resulting in his towel falling in the process.
"Master, your towel" the small bemused voice came as Hoseok scrambled to cover his dignity. "Cyber lover 'Jimin' is at your service, Master!" repeats the now much less shy voice of the intruder. Hoseok gave the man a once over before deciding what he was to do now.
"Just.. Go wait comfortably in the living area. I'll dress and come out shortly."
Once both men were fully clothed and situated in the living space Hoseok paid the petite man more attention, looking on him now he looked extremely familiar but he was still in disbelief, how could an app be real?
"You are the cyber lover, aren't you?" He tentatively asked "Yes Master, I'm your cyber lover." Hoseok reaches his arm out and swipes through the cyber lovers form, as he suspected he cuts straight though with a distorted fuzz, much like putting your hand through a hologram.
"Why can't I touch you?" "Master, please see." The cyber lover extends his neck, exposing more unflawed skin towards Hoseok so he could inspect the area closely, as Hoseok roamed his eyes over the expanse of skin a faint white number appeared imprinted "00.0"
"This is my love value" the cyber lover explained. "Now it is at zero but when it reaches one hundred there will be an entity, then you can touch me" he offers a bright smile along with this simplified information. "How can I reach one hundred?" Hoseok half whispers to himself watching as the cyber lover stands and extends his arms outwards, presenting himself and cutely slanting his head to the side like a puppy.
"Master, please love me!" he speaks through his unwavering smile which Hoseok is now mirroring on his own face as he shakes his head in amusement.
"Ah, you really are that cute then."
