we are no longer free.
we've never been free.

the freedom that we once had
has faded away.
the freedom that we never had
has dimmed away.

we could've been our own puppeteer.
but instead we are others puppet.

we are guided by society.
wanting to fit in,
modifying ourselves
to meet standards,
being afraid of the eyes of others
whom laugh and judge.

being in chains; limiting our
mind, taste, future.

pressure of school, work, life.

stereotypes.

government.

people.

we've become objects that
can be bought and contained in cages.

now,
we dance at their command.
blindly believing that this world
truly contains freedom.
