I woke up to the sun streaming through my window. I groaned and rolled over, closing my eyes again. I suddenly opened them and decided to start today early. I stretched then sat up, looking around confused. I feel happy. Not the actual kind that I used to feel, but I just felt fresh. I blinked a few times, then got up to get breakfast, which I usually don't eat. After breakfast, I got dressed and then sat down to watch the news for a little while before work. I worked five days a week at the local music store; earning enough to get by.
A half hour later, I grabbed my jacket and keys then walked out the door. I put on my olive green beanie and then I walked outside in the late October chill. Making my way to the shop, I hummed quietly and kept my head down. When I arrived, I went to the back of the store to bring out some cd's to organize on the shelves. Next, I worked the register for a little bit, when I heard the bell chime on the door. I didn't look up because it's been going all day. But when I heard that person clear their throat, I looked up. She set down a few disks on the counter; All Time Low, Green Day, and Sleeping With Sirens. I grinned while scanning them and putting them in a bag. After she paid, she left something on that counter, that I will never forget. A flyer that was for a show tonight downtown; and attached was a ticket front row to it.
"Make it if you can", she pushed the flyer towards me, smiled, then left. I looked at the ticket, examining it; it said.
Downtown Arena
Tonights performance by; charlotte lynn
Section: 1 Row:1 Seat: 7
Enjoy the show!
I figured that she already had her ticket and that I would be seated near her, but this is so random, I mean we haven't even formely met and I have no idea what her name is or how she knew I worked here. I just dealt with the questions, contemplating if I go so I just trusted my gut that she wasn't some crazy person and that I would pop by.
I finished up my shift by putting the price stickers on a stack of new cd's that had been delivered early this morning. When I was complete, I grabbed my jacket and then headed out, back to my apartment building. I guess I have a little time before I have to get ready for that perfromance.

After roughly an hour, I got a shower then slipped on a green day tshirt, dark skinny jeans and some converse.
When I pulled into a parking lot when I got downtown, I made my way to the arena and it was filling up pretty quickly. Later, the show started and my gaze focused on the performer, her blonde hair pulled to the side and she had a fedora on. I squinted my eyes then gasped. It was that girl.
She adjusted the microphone, then looked out in the crowd smiling.
"Hi guys!", she laughed as the crowd cheered, "I'm Charlotte."
She eyes searched crowd close to the stage till they caught mine and she grinned flashing her teeth. Heat rushed to my cheeks and her band started the first song.
I closed my eyes and listened to her voice, it was really soft but had something different about it. I hummed along to the instruments and then opened my eyes looking at her.

At the end of Charlotte's show, she closed up with a cover of an Ed Sheeran song. I panicked inside because I forgot there was a huge crowd around me and I don't do well around people. I fiddled my thumbs and once she said "goodnight everybody!" I knew I was screwed.Bodies started pushing against me, loud people, yelling, laughs, too much noise. I bit the inside of my cheeks, weaseling my way out of the stadium, and I walked quickly to my car before I got too over whelmed. I got in the car and tapped on the steering wheel once I got out of the garage I was in.
I finally had gotten into bed that night with my journal and a pen. I started jotting down things on my mind. I wrote down what I felt and this quote that I somehow came up with.
"We're all just lost souls searching for love to shine through the pain and heal us."
