Ok, so in case you were wondering, no I didn't pull the alarm. The idea did come across my mind but I didn't do it. See, when you read about what I am thinking or what I'm gonna say, you have no say in it. You just have to accept who and what I am. Even if I do know that I am a simple character in a book. I merely have to go along with what the writer writes about me.

Since there's not setting established I will head home. I take the bus home. Usually it takes about an hour and 15 mins on a regular day. And that's including that I hit rush our.

But anyway, let's start this next chapter with a ride on the bus.

As I sat on the metal bench, warmed only by the sun, I thought about what would've happened if I did pull that lever. Maybe some people would get wet and some damage by the water. But other than that, it would've been fun.

I smile at the thought of seeing everyone panic through the halls, trying effortlessly to stay dry. Imagine the chaos that would ensue from the tech department. Now that would be one pissed off department head. I would love to see his reaction when all his beautiful technology get submerged in water. Wow.

I hear a familiar squeal of brakes as I sit there smiling about my devious water plan, it was the number 7 bus. I toke out my 50¢ and got aboard.

"Hey Jimmy, how's the dog?"

Jimmy was the bus drive of the number 7 bus, he works weekdays from 12-4 so I pretty much see him everyday after school. I asked about his dog because about 2 weeks ago she was hit by a kid on a bicycle. She got her leg broken but lived.

"Oh she's doing better. Loving those pain pills the doc gave her, she's been rolling around the living room floor barking at the furniture."

I laughed as I paid my fee. "Sounds like she'll be just fine Jimmy."

I walked to the back and took the second to the last seat on the driver side. I always sit here, no matter the day, no matter how crowded. If it's taken, I will sit in another on the driver side. Always the driver side. I could never sit on the left side of a vehicle.

The bus made it's regular stops and route. People got on and people got off. I get off at the last stop of this route so I see just about every kind of person take the bus. Everyone from the tired business man to the café worker to the college student. I never see the same people on the morning route. It's always different people, same bus route but different people.

Oh and in case you're wondering why I always sit on the driver side, we'll get to that later. I still know this is a book to you, but it's a life for me. Just remember that. I have no use to you accept maybe advise of what NOT to do or even what TO do.

"It's all on how you take it." I said with a smile.

The young college student looked at me with a strange look. I must have said that out loud. I looked away, not wanting to draw attention, but the old lady in front of me turned around and said,

"Don't feel embarrassed sweetheart, we all have voices in our heads. Only the fun people talk back to them."

She turned back around and the college student stood there with a smile. The weird part was it looked like a smile of agreement. Maybe he knows he's in a book too. He got off at the next stop and walked home. Maybe not.

My eyelids started to feel heavy, with a realization that I've been awake since 4am, I decided to get some sleep. Don't start with that *Dont sleep on a bus. You'll miss your stop*. Well I won't. Because my eyes may be closed but I still know how many stops it is to my house. I rested my head against the window and just sat there. I could hear the bus engine growling and the brakes squealing at every stop. I felt someone sit next to me, but I just remain motionless. Doesn't matter who they are, I want some sleep.

I felt the bus stop for the 12th time and decided to wake myself up before my stop. I opened my eyes to see dark clouds lingering above. Looks like it's sprinkling. I guess I'll be walking home in the rain.

I still felt someone sitting next to me so I looked over. What I saw next was going to be a shock to me. I saw-
