Opening...

You sat in the coffee shop alone. Holding your fresh espresso in your hands. It felt warm against you skin and made your stress melt away. You glanced out the window to the busy street of Seoul. You lifted the cup to your mouth and took a sip. Its flavor rushed over you tongue and you smiled. It was so satisfying.

You looked around the shop and noticed you were alone. You sighed and gripped your cup. The past week has been nothing but loneliness. Your last boyfriend had dumped you after a long committed relationship. One year down the drain.

You shook the thought out of your head and focused on your coffee. You had come here often before. It was like your comfort place. Away from all the rushing and people. You took another sip of coffee.

"Hey there y/n. Another rough day?" You looked up surprised. Once you realized the origin of the voice, you smiled weakly. It was the lady that owned the coffee shop. Jaehee was her name. She slipped another cup of coffee to me and sat on the other side of my table.

"More like a rough week," you replied with a forced chuckle. Jaehee smiled comfortingly. Your heart jumped a little when you saw it. You looked back down at your cup and started tracing the rim.

"It could be worse, right?" She said.

"Yeah, I guess so."

"Care to share whats got you down?"

You nod in agreement. You've been telling her all your problems for months now. She's like your own personal counselor. She's heard about it all. The good, the bad, and the dirty.

"Do you remember Darren?" You asked with a sigh. She nods. "He..."
You paused and looked into her warm eyes.

"He broke up with me last week," you said with a heavy sigh. You felt your throat tighten as you remembered the scene. For about two months now he has been very moody. And distant. Finally he brought your stuff to you in bags and said leave, I'm tired of you.

Jaehee placed her warm, soft hand on yours. You looked up at her.

"He was a douche anyway and I always thought so." She smiled slightly and tilted her head. We sat in silence for a second. Her eyes were so... Beautiful. You never realized this before.

"Why are you blushing Y/N?" Jaehee asked with a giggle. You raised your hand to your cheek and felt the heat radiating off of them.

"I-I uh..."

Jaehee waited for you to finish

"Um... I dunno." You finally said quietly. She smirked at you and started to get up.

"Let me get you some more coffee," she said as she picked up your cup. "Is that OK?" She asked. You nodded and watched her walk away. You were alone with your thoughts for a moment. 

Jaehee is so sweet. She always listens to me and cares. And the way she talks is so soothing. And her face is so perfect and I just wanna grab it and kiss it, you thought to yourself and felt you cheeks get hotter. Kiss it huh?

Jaehee came back with your coffee and set it in front of you. Instead of sitting in front of you, like she had previously, she sat beside you.

Her hand met with yours again. You looked at her stunning eyes. Another moment of silence passed and you squeezed her hand slightly. You saw her cheeks take some color at that moment. She looked down at her coffee and smiled.

"Why don't you come back here towards closing time. We can talk more again and with more privacy. Sound good?"

"Yes definitely."

"Great. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to work. I'll see you later Y/N." Jaehee said as she picked up her cup and left. She disappeared behind the counter. You finished your cup of coffee and left.

~Later that day~

You came back to the shop close to closing time. Just like Jaehee had said to do. The store lights were off in the front, and you thought you had missed your chance, but you then noticed the lights on in the kitchen. You pulled the door open, and the tiny bell rang.

Jaehee's head popped around the corner to see who had entered her store. When she saw you a gentle, warm smile appeared in her face. You blush a little at the sight of it.

"Hey Y/N, glad you made it."

"I would never miss the chance to talk to yo one on one." You replied without thinking. Your blushing got worse and you saw her cheeks turn a little red as well. You pulled your jacket collar up some to hide your cheeks. Jaehee giggles and pulls your hands down away from your face.

"You don't have to hide what I've already seen," she said as she squeezed your hands. "Besides it's really cute."

You two stand in silence for a brief moment. Her hands never left yours the whole time.

"Y/N?" She asked breaking the silence.

"Yes?"

"I know saying this may make you nit want to speak to me ever again but-"

"Anything that you say would ever make me not want to talk to you again." You said aburtly.

"I-uhm..." Her face turned super red and she turned her face to the left to it. Her hands squeezed yours and you squeezed back.

"I know it might be weird for me to say this since I'm your confindont, but..." She looked back into your eyes. Her eyes were twinkling and you were dying to know what she was trying to tell you.

"I have been feeling like this for a while now y/n," she continued.

"Like how Jaehee?" You asked her stepping closer to her.

"I like you y/n. And by like I mean love you." She said and she turned her head again away from you.

You didn't know what to say. You never really questioned your sexuality, but recently started too. And now you were faced with this. Your heart beat picked up speed. Your face was burning hot. Your palms were all sweaty and your knees felt like they would buckle at any moment.

"Jaehee I-"

"It's ok if you don't have the same feelings for me. I know it's a surprise."

You reached up and touched her face. She slowly turned her head to you. Her face was hot against your hand. You smiled at her warmly.

"Don't jump to conclusions Jaehee. You never know what I might say."

"Are you saying that..." She trailed off.

You nod in response and you felt her whole body relax. She smiles so brightly and hugs you.

"I promise to be better than your trash boyfriend." She tells you and you hug her tighter.

"I'll hold you to that," you said with a giggle.
