Tae's POV
My parents had just entered my apartment. It wasn't a small apartment it was big enough for at least 5 people. I turned to them and basically screamed.
"Eomma, Appa!!!, Welcome"
They hugged me and gave me a kiss attack
"Eomma, Appa, stop, please!!!" I managed to say through giggles. Yoongi just watched us in amusement.
"YAH!! Yoongi!! why are you just standing there, come give us a hug!!", my mother basically screamed at him.
Yoongi shuffled his way towards us slowly, showing how nervous he was. My father grabbed him into a tight hug and said
"Any friend of Tae's is a friend of ours.......well except one" his eyes went dark. I knew he was thinking about Jin. I knew he was going to ask me if I still was in communication with him, but he wouldn't ask that till after I got my soulmate or not.
"SO Tae, how have you been?" he asked breaking the silence
"I'm okay"
"Okay. so are you excited to be meeting your soulmate?"
"yea"
"I remember when I met your mother, she was as beautiful as I expected.........."
He began to tell the story of how he met my mother while I zoned out thinking about my soulmate.
"Tae, it's almost time"
I looked at my phone and saw the time was 11:55. It was 5 minutes to midnight. 5 minutes to knowing if I had a soulmate or not. 5 minutes to knowing if it was a girl or boy. But i secretly hoped it would be a girl, to please my parents and as well myself.(hehehe...yea i thought dirty on that).
The time came. It was 12:00 on the dot. I looked at my phone waiting patiently for the text or call or necklace. But nothing came.
I felt sad on the inside but I put up a tough face.
"Tae, it's okay, your soulmate is probably just a little younger than you" My parents and Yoongi started to reason with me.
"I'm okay"
The room was silent till a loud ping broke it. I rushed to my phone and saw a text from.......the department of soulmates?

Dear Kim Taehyung,
Your soulmate is not dead, we can assure you, but your soulmate is 1 year younger than you. Please be patient and wait.
Sincerely, The Department of soulmates.
I finished reading the message and smiled at my parents and Yoongi.
"My soulmate is not dead, they are just 1 year younger than me," i said through tears of happiness.
"It's okay son, I had to wait 5 years for your mother. Don't lose hope"
"I won't dad"
"hey it's not as bad I have to wait 2 years", Yoongi said to me.
It's true on Yoongi's 18th birthday he also got a message saying he had to wait 2 years for his soulmate. His 2 years are over. His soulmate should have his/her birthday soon.Even though Yoongi is secretly gay and wants a boy. Nobody knows this except me and Jin.
"Its okay I'll just wait a year"
