The paradox

I realised that I have the power of time

And using the weapon would be no crime.

All I want in my life is my wife

Who now treads the journey of afterlife

It's still fresh in my mind, that unlucky day,

Those murderers arrived from faraway.

But now I can go back, with time by my side,

That very day and safely hide inside.

So I pack up and start chanting the spell

And reached the place where we did dwell.

I saw there my lovely wife, my peaceful home,

My green garden, the grinning guarding gnome,

I went to talk to her but then I saw me!

And then everything blurred, flashing lights I could see,

Then I heard the goddess- 'You cannot change it!

You can't tamper the fabric which destiny knit'

Her voice faded away and my view went black,

My sight was back during the alien attack!

They took my wife, and I stood there weeping,

I tried many times but those creepers kept creeping

And I always lost, someway or another.

I got too tideous that I stopped to bother

That repeating sight only deepened my hate

And I have to find them riding on fate!
