Life sucks. especially when you have this black cuff on your wrist until your 16 and when your 16 the cuff comes off and your soul mates name is revealed. If you don't marry your soul mate you die. Someone comes into your house and kills you. Cruel right? Welcome to my screwed up life. Well I guess I'm happy. It's my 16th birthday and I'm on my way to get my cuff off. And get this, your soul mate has the SAME exact birthday as you.
"Ashlyn? Were here" my mom says
"Okay"
I get out of the car and walk in.
The lady takes my right wrist and cuts off the cuff.
I look at the name on my wrist.
Liam Payne.
Not him.
I groan and thank the lady and walk out.
"Mom you don't understand this is the JOCK of the school he's a total jerk!!"
"Ashlyn apparently you guys are soul mates so you don't have a choice"
I roll my eyes
"Can you drop me off at the mall? I gotta see Molly"
"Okay"
I look out the window and see all the trees and nature and then see the mall and the car stops
"Love you mom pick me up at 6?"
"Okay Ash don't get in trouble"
"No promises!" I tell as I close the car door and walk in.
I walk to the book store and then something kills my mood even more.
Liam is in the bookstore with his friends and I choose to eavesdrop
"I got Ashlyn Brooks!! She's smoking hot but such a nerd"
I laugh at his remark
I walk to my favorite section and of course I pass by Liam.
He grabs my arm
"Ashlyn?"
"Yes Liam?"
He smiles
"I guess were soul mates"
"Yeah" I bite my lip smiling
"So wanna come over tomorrow?"
"Sure.."
"See you then"
"Bye"
I walk off and think about him.
I roll my eyes.
