"You're not going anywhere."
I turn sharply. "I will go where ever I want, whenever I want, with whoever I want. Don't control me." I snap at Cole, before he speaks up again.
"No, you won't. You nearly died this morning, there is no way in Hell I am letting you leave again!"
I grab his shoulders, pushing him against a wall, my anger evident on my face and in the flames that burn dangerously bright. "I AM HELL, BRADFORD. I AM THE SOLE REASON THAT PEOPLE FEAR THE NIGHT, THE ONLY PERSON ALIVE WHO CAN KEEP YOU AND ANYONE YOU LOVE SAFE. I DON'T HAVE A CHOICE. DO YOU THINK I WANT TO KILL?!?" My words come from my mouth so dangerously I am burning my throat. My body feels nothing but blind rage.
I see Cole's mouth move, before I feel something plunge into my neck. I turn to Elliot, who is grimacing behind me. I pull the syringe from my neck. "You son of a ...." My world goes black.
Cole Bradford POV
I looked up at the Chief, unsure if I had heard him correctly. "I'm sorry, you want me to babysit a vampire?"
"That's exactly what I'm saying, Bradford. Now get your ass into my office and read the file on the desk. I'll be expecting you to arrive there in two hours." He left the room, and i went to his office.
My gaze lands on a file folder, not even an eighth of an inch thick. I pick it up and open it, skimming the page.
Name: Irdalah Yamada
Age: 28
Sex: Female
Species: Vampire Hybrid
Notes: Orphaned as an infant. Lives alone. No living relations. Suspect in multiple homicides involving known serial killers, not enough evidence to corraborate her involvement. The file contained several blurry images, not a single one of them showed her face. I dropped the file and moved to my car, driving to the address someone had taped to my car.
I pulled up outside an.....empty field?
I got out and started walking around."Okay, Chief, joke's over! There's no one he---WOAH!!!!"
I felt the ground open up beneath me, and I fell down, down, down, down......
"Ah! Master Bradford! Master Whitestone said you would be arriving!" A high pitched male voice buzzed in my ear. I groaned, forcing myself to open my eyes.
I was lying on a stone floor. I stood up. "Where am I?"
"Welcome to Madam Yamada's mansion, sir. Please, wait here. I will let her know you have arrived." The white haired man scurries off, and I am left alone.
I start walking the hall, gazing in awe at the decor. It was tasteful, yet extravagent.
I turn in slow circles unable to grasp the sheer beauty that is around me. I see the man from before come back.
"Master Bradford, if you would, follow me to your room, please. Mistress Yamada will meet you shortly." He gestures towards the doors near the end of the hall. Mystified, I follow him.
"My name is Elliot, sir, should you require my services. Meals will be prepared for you as you request, Mistress Yamada has her own.....schedule, if you will. The mansion is yours to explore. Should you require sunlight, return to the hall we just left and you will be escorted to the surface-"
"Wait a minute." I say, stopping his monolouge. "Are there no windows at all? And what do you mean, the surface?"
He chuckles. "Mistress Yamada is a creature of the night, Master Bradford. We are about sixty, maybe seventy feet underground. No, there are no windows. As I was saying, the bathroom is. .."

Hellbent
Upíři"Why are you fighting me, Irdalah?" His voices breathes in my ear. I clench my fists, breathing heavily. "You know I feel only anger, Cole." "And why is that?" He asks, his lips nearly touching my own. "Because I am hellbent on finding my heart." **...
