****Irdalah in photo, imagine her with bright red eyes****
The dagger on my thigh is in my hand before I can blink and slashing out in front of me.
"HEY! Stand down, woman, I'm here to keep you safe, not to get killed!" I stop swinging, and Cole sighs dramatically. "Note taken, wear a bell when I'm walking."
I look at him irritatedly. "You will let me go, or I will eat you right here and now."
He moves quickly to grab me, and I sidestep him, making him stumble and lose his balance. I chuckle menacingly. "I warned you." I say, raising an eyebrow. He looks back at me, angry. I sigh and dissipate into the air.
*************
I crouch behind the van in the driveway, watching the man through the window. He gleefully placed another ring in his lockbox. Once the box was locked safely in the wall, he picked up the woman's body from the floor. I bare my fangs. He disappears from view, and I silently make my way to the door. I pick the lock, silencing the creaking the door. I leave it open.
I light my body ablaze and arrange myself on the sofa. I let my eyes glow their most intense red. Taking my favorite onyx-bladed dagger from my shin, I play with it, twirling the blade between my fingers as I wait.
It doesn't take long. He all but dances in. I roll my eyes. He's in that high all killers get after the victim dies. His mood doesn't last long.
He stops mid-step as his eyes land on me.
"Hello Wesley." I say, venom in my words.
"How do you-how did you...." I can see the panic in his eyes. I rise, smiling menacingly. My flames grow bigger, and fear overtakes him. He takes off running back the way he came, back out the door. I shake my head, but I walk leisurely after them.
They always run. But this is my favorite part. This is my Hunt.
I casually throw my innocent-looking blades after him. He has evaded me for a minute now, and I am tired of playing with him. I stop, and let my cloak and weapons fall. I then slip my boots off, and run after him, my flames only growing from the added oxygen.
"You can't run forever, Wesley!"
He screams once, his mistake. I veer in his direction. I catch him, throwing him against a tree, growlimg, snarling. His heart beats so fast, it seems to want to break out of his chest.
I throw him to the ground, straddling him before burying my fangs in his jugular. He shrieks, blood sprays, and soon he can't struggle, my clothes soaked again in his red. I drain him, and I watch his life fade from his eyes.
Once he is empty, I lick the wounds I have left on his neck. They vanish, and I stand up. I wait, pressing my hand to my chest.
One minute passes, two, three.
I let out a gut-wrenching cry. He doesn't have my heart either.
I feel my arm burn, and look up. The sun is flickering through the trees. I panic.
I reach the house as the sun hits the horizon. I scream as the sun touches my flesh. It blisters, and in blinding pain, I dissipate again, just in time.

I crumple to the floor of the hall, screaming until my throat is raw. Elliot comes running, that mortal Cole behind him."What the fuck happened to you?!" Cole exclaims. My skin is bright red, my arm swollen and blistered.
"Elliot....get my case..." I gasp out before screaming again. He's back in a flash.
His hands shake as he opens the briefcase. He loads a syringe with milky white liquid. He then hands it to me, and I grit my teeth for the oncoming agony ahead. Elliot places a scrap of leather between my teeth. I nod, he stands and moves back, pulling Cole with him.

Hellbent
Vampire"Why are you fighting me, Irdalah?" His voices breathes in my ear. I clench my fists, breathing heavily. "You know I feel only anger, Cole." "And why is that?" He asks, his lips nearly touching my own. "Because I am hellbent on finding my heart." **...
