Seventh Year Craziness

Potions love?

        It had been a couple of months since I had gotten drunk. I couldn't really remember much from it, except for that I had ran into Tonks and passed out when I had gotten back to the Gryffindor Common Room. I had woken up with a major hangover and I vowed never to get drunk again. Tonks had broken up with her boyfriend and smiled at me everyday in the halls. What had happened when I had ran into her two months ago?

        I was walking to potions when Tonks ran up to me and said, "Hey, umm... Remus, I just want to to thank you for telling me that I deserved someone better, you were totally right." She then ran off with Lily and I stood in the middle of the hall in complete shock. 

        James and Sirius caught up to me and James said, "I think I smell love in the air." I blushed and glared at James. The two of them smirked, and I saw Angie coming towards us. I smiled, Sirius was starting to get annoyed of Angie, and kept hiding from her. Sirius ran off and James was close behind him and Angie came up to me.

        "Hey asshole, have you seen Sirius, he keeps ignoring me," Angie said. She looked at me with expectant eyes, and I just smirked at her. 

        "No, sorry, bitch," I said and smiled at her. She scowled at me and then ran off. 

        I walked into potions and I sat down next to Tonks, who smiled brightly at me. I smiled at her, she looked perfect. Maybe I could finally get up the nerve to ask her out, but before I could do so, Professor Slughorn began to talk.

        "Okay class, we are going to make Ink Potion, please turn to page 497, to begin your potion," Professor Slughorn said loudly and smiled at us all. I turned to the page and began to get my ingrediants. I looked over the instructions.

        I did everything exactly as it said, until I came to step five: Cut Asa into small bits, almost as if they are crushed. I smirked, Hell no, am I cutting Asa. Asa is a pain in the ass to cut. I grabbed my knife and began to crush it. I looked over at Tonks to see her having trouble with cutting it. 

        I put my hand on top of her and she jumped, making her drop the knife. I smirked a bit, and moved a little closer to her. She looked at me, blushing profusely, and I smirked a little larger. I leaned close to her and whispered in her ear, "Don't cut it, crush it, it's easier." 

        I leaned away and looked at her. She smiled at me and began crushing it. I went back to my book, reading through the instructions and I finally finished my potion just barely after Snape. 

        Snape looked back at me with a smug expression and I just raised my eyesbrows, gestering to Lily who was still having troubles cutting the Asa. I mouthed, Why don't you tell her to crush it. He scowled at me, but leaned over to Lily and said something that I couldn't hear. Lily nodded her head and began to crush the Asa, smiling happily.  

        I looked at Tonks who was having trouble measuring Fairy Wing Powder, it kept flying everywhere. I leaned closer to her, and put my had on her arm that was pouring the Fairy Wing Powder. She jumped slightly, and spilled a little more of the Fairy Wing Powder. She looked up at me and smiled. I looked at Professor Slughorn to make sure he wasn't watching, and then put a steady hold on Tonks arm. She held the flask and the powder, and I leaned the powder over so that the thin soft powder came floating out of it. I looked at her measuring cup closely and when it reached four ounces, I tipped the powder flask up.

        She smiled and thanked me, then poured the powder into the potion. I looked at Lily who had just finished hers and was talking to James. They had started dating recently and I think James was pretty proud of himself for that. I had also gotten 50 galleons from Sirius from it, so I was quite happy with it myself. 

        I looked back at Tonks to see she was on the last step. She smiled at me as she whisked it around, and it turned black. That was the perfect color, and I smiled back at her. 

        A couple of minutes later Professor Slughorn said loudly, "Okay, let's see if your ink potion works properly. The ink shouldn't smear at all even when I first touch it. Take out a piece of parchment and a quill, to let me test it."

        I took out a piece of paper and one of my shitty quills and put them next to my potion. I then put my hands under the table, and felt Tonks hand brush them. Professor Slughorn came nearer to us, and when he was at Sirius's he declared that his didn't work at all. 

        "Shit!! I did everything the God damn book told me to do!" Sirius muttered and a smile broke out on my face. 

        When Professor Slughorn was only two people away from Tonks, Tonks grabbed one of my hands and held it in her own. I blushed as I looked at our interlocking hands. I held hers and that just made her blush even more. Professor Slughorn finally got to us and tested Tonks's potion. She squeezed my hand and I could feel my thumb rubbing gentle circles on it. 

        "Very Good Nymphadora, you're potion is pratically perfect!" Slughorn said, and Tonks hair turned red for a second, but she smiled brightly.

        After a couple of seconds Slughorn looked at my potions and smiled, "I knew you wouldn't fail me Mr. Lupin, you never do." I smiled a bit, and Slughorn walked away. I looked down at my hands, when I realized I was still holding Tonks's hand. She looked at our hands and blushed. 

        "Sorry, I guess I was just nervous," She said, going redder with each second. I smiled at her and said, "It's alright, don't worry about it." 

        She smiled her perfect smile, and kept her hand in mine. I need to ask her out, this is the time right now! I looked at her and said, "Umm... Tonks do you want to go out with me?" I could feel myself go red and she smiled brightly at me.        

        "Ya!!!" She blurted out and then blushed, "I mean, sure. I'd love to." 

        I smiled at her and said, "Okay, when do you want to go out?" 

        "How about this weekend on Saturday. We could go out for lunch," She said, still blushing slightly.

        "That sounds good, I'll plan on it," I said. Right at that moment the bell rang and I got up, grabbing my stuff. I let go of Tonks's hand and she smiled at me, "Well See ya." 

        Tonks ran off and James and Sirius came up to me. "You were close with Tonks today while we were making our potions," James said and smirked. I could feel the blood rising up to my cheeks.

        "Ya, He also held hands with her while Professor Slughorn came around checking potions," Sirius said, smirking. 

        "What?! N-N-No! I wasnt it!" I protested. SIrius laughed and said, "Mate I saw your guys freaking hands, I was right behind you two!" 

        James began to laugh with Sirius and I glared at them. "So are you guy going to go on a date anytime soon?" James said, still laughing a bit.  

        I smiled and said, "Ya, on Saturday. Oh and by the way Sirius, Angie is right behind you." I then walked out of class with James as Sirius cursed at me.
