When we get to school the first bell rings signaling that we have 10 minutes before first period. I park the car.

"You ready for this?"

"Yes!" Annie squeals excitedly.

"Are you sure you're gonna be able to make it through the whole day?" Im worried about her-it takes her one heck of a lot of strength to be able to be seen and solid by anyone other than me for long periods of time. Our bond has grown so strong that I can see her and feel her without her trying.

Annie sighs. "Yeah, I'll be fine. I can always ask to go to the bathroom-thats a normal thing now, right?"

I laugh. "Yes, Annie, its normal to ask to go to the bathroom. Even with the lecture i gave her on whats normal and how modern high school works on the way here and all the years I've been describing it to her, shes still not exactly...comfortable with the customs nowadays.

"Were gonna have to go talk to the principal first to get you a pass."

When we get to the office, the receptionist tells us to go right in.

"Jason Gray, and who is this young lady?" Mr. Boomer asks me.

"Um, my-my cousin." I stammer. Ive never been a good liar. Luckily, Annie sees this and steps in.

"Annabella Grace Marie Colten, sir, but you can call me Annie." He chuckles.

"Annie, what a cute name. What can I do for you?"

"You see, Mr. Boomer, sir-" I see her eyes scan the nameplate on his desk.

"My older sister Abigail and I are visiting from New Jersey and I was just wondering if i could attend Jace...on's classes with him. Just for today, and possibly tomorrow too."

"But Annie," i elbow her. "Arent you guys, you know, leaving tomorrow." There is NO way that Annie is coming to school with me tomorrow, too.

"No." She frowns and I glare at her. "Abby and I arent leaving until Sunday." She grins stupidly.

"Well, Annie, that doesnt seem to be a problem as long as you behave yourself."

"Dont worry, although we're homeschooled so a few things may be new to me." Well played, Annie, well played.

"I see, I'll just write you a pass, and I'm sure Jason will help you around." I nod. "Now, will your sister, Abby, Abigail you said, be attending as well?"

"Um, no, she graduated last year"

"Okay, well here you go, and enjoy your time at Jefferson High."

"Thank you sir!"

"What the hell was that?" I whisper furiously at her.

"What?" She truly looks clueless.

"Saying youd come tomorrow?"

"Lets just see how today goes okay?" Annie half-pleads as the bell rings telling us to hurry up.

"Fine, lets just get to first hour."
