Chapter 5: The Exchange

Daniel's P.O.V

*The Next Morning*

I got up early this morning and decided to call Tee up and remind her that we had a date... I mean the um... a uhh... the um exchange thingy today. Yeah that's what it was an exchange.

Tia's P.O.V

I got up early and made myself breakfast. After eating I sat in my living room to watch TV when the phone began vibrating and I Immediately recognized who was calling. I then remembered that even though I saw The Airport Guy... Daniel is his name? We didn't exchange phones so I still had to meet him at Starbucks today. I answered the call. Phone convo Tia= T, Daniel= D

D: Hey

T: Hey

D: Hope I didn't wake you?

T: Nah I was already up, what's up?

D: I was just calling to remind you that we kinda still have the exchange thingy today. You know you still have my phone and all.

T: Yeah I remembered. it's kinda hard to forget when it's almost constantly goin off.

D: Haha, yeah sorry about that so I'll see you in a few.

T: cool, I'll see you in a few.

°Hangs up°

*At Starbucks*

I got to Starbucks at around 11:50am and called The Airport Guy to tell him that I'm here.

T: Hey I'm here

D: cool I'll be there in a minute.

T: ok

*hangs up*

I hung up then went up to the barista and ordered an Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte, when I felt arms wrap around my shoulder and the person then said

"And I'll have a Salted Carmel Mocha Frapp."

The barista nodded and started our drinks. I turned around to see who the person was but had already had a feeling that it was the Airport Guy Daniel. I started to blush at the thought that he still had his arms around me.

"Hey you're here." I managed to say with a smile.

"Yes I am" he said collecting our drinks after our orders had been called and paying the barista.

"You know you didn't have to pay for m...(gco) "

"I know but I wanted to." He said cutting me off.

We found a table at the back near the window and sat down. I looked through the glass window and saw that it was raining.

"It's raining." I said

"Yeah it started to rain just as I got in." He said handing me my latte.

"Oh I didn't realize." I simply said.

We sat in awkward silence for a while so I started to look around hoping to find interest in something to talk about. As my eyes wondered about, something popped into my head, I then broke the silence.

"Oh before I forget again let me give you this." I said handing him his phone.

"Oh yeah thanks." He said

"And let me hand you this before I forget." He said handing me my phone. Oh God it felt nice having my phone back. His hands merely touched mine and it sent shivers through me.

"U seem cold." he said offering me his leather jacket. little did he know.

"Thanks" I said nicely. Oh how his jacket smelt nice, it was mesmerizing just like his plump pink lips.

"So tell me about yourself?" Daniel asked snapping me back into reality. I haven't even met the guy for a full week and this is what I'm thinking get a hold of yourself Tee.

"Um what would you like to know." I asked

"Everything" he replied with a smile leaning against the table in interest.

"Ok... my name is Tia Valentine, I'm 18 years old, I'm 5ft 5in, I have long naturally curly hair, hazel eyes, I would say that I'm kind, fun loving, jovial, lover of life and fashion and I stick to the point I'm not no hypocrite. I used to live in L.A until I moved to NY a couple days ago. I'll be attending University here to hopefully become a lawyer. My parent are happily married with two kids myself and my older brother which I love oh so much...That's basically it." I said with a smile trying to keep it simple and short.

"So what kind of law you doing." "Well I wanna do corporate law but imma do criminal law then specialize."

Cool, trouble I can hit you up then."

"Yeah sure." I said giggling a bit.

"So you've heard about me so it only fair if you tell me a little something about yourself."

"Well my name is Daniel Simmons, I'm also 18, I live here in NY. I would consider myself talented. As you can see I'm very handsome ."

"Haha you are? I didn't realize that." I said jokingly

"Oh so you got jokes now."

"Yeah lots of them." I replied We talked for about two hours until we decided to go our seperate ways. As I was about to live Daniel stopped me.

"Hey you said you just moved here right? And if my memory serves me right you also said you didn't know your way around?" He asked

"Yes I did."

"So I was wondering if I could take you out tomorrow?" He asked as I gave him my attention." For sight seeing of course." He finished.

"Sure I'd love to."

"Ok great, if you didn't mind I kinda saved my number in your phone and I already got yours.

"Um sure that's cool" I replied.
