Chapter 9
Here we were in these dark woods. Why are we here I wondered. I trust Liam though. " Close, your eyes and trust me." He told me. I did as he said and I felt his hand on my lower back guiding me deeper into the forest. I still felt curious bout where we are going. Finally we stopped and he said " open your eyes." I opened my eyes and stood in awe. In front of me was a lake that was frozen and near it laid a picnic blanket with food. Also, some of the trees were covered in white Christmas lights. " you like?" He looked down at me. I'm a foot shorter than him. " It's beautiful!" I say. He looks down at me and smiles. He grabbed my hand and lead me to the blanket. We sat down and he pulled out some warm chicken noodle soup.
We started to eat and talk. " how long have you been boxing?" I ask. " since I was 16." " what bout you, " he asks " what do you like to do?" " I dance and also sing, but not many people get to hear me sing." "Why," he asks. " I'm really shy, but it's strange cause when I dance I'm free and not shy at all." We finished eating. " hold on I got another surprise," he said while standing up and walking away. He reached behind one of the trees and held up two pairs of ice skates. I smiled. " this is amazing," I said. " I know," he said with confidence. Together we put them on and went on the ice. He got on first and he had perfect balance. I do too, but not so much when ice skating. "Here," he said while holding his hand out for me to hold. I gladly took it. We skated around holding on to each other like we depended on each other. I soon slipped and fell while pulling Liam down with me. I sat on the cold ice laughing and Liam joined in laughing too. He got up and pulled me up with him. We skated back to shore. We took the skates off and put our other shoes on. I laid back on the blanket and so did he. " the stars are so gorgeous," I told him. " ya so are you," he said quietly and was looking at me. I turned my head slightly and looked at him too. His head slowly leaned in closer and closer to mine. When he was really close he whispered" Brittany will you be my girlfriend?" "Yes." He smiled and connected his lips to mine and kissed me slowly,but with lots of passion. In my head I thought I can't believe I knew this guy for two days and he is now my boyfriend, talk about falling for someone quickly and I couldn't help it. He soon pulled away and smiled. I did too. I then wrapped my hand in his big one. It fit like it was made just for me.
He kissed my cheek which made me blush and he chuckled lightly. I slowly fell to sleep laying in the cold weather with him right next to me.
